  • Not bad at all! I would consider this a... *gasp* ...metal tune!
    I'm definitely pleasantly surprised.

I agree that the production could've been a lot better though.

      • Yes, much better song! While it is a tad bit generic it at least sounds and feels like Metallica again, much much better than their previous crap. Maybe it's a good sign?

          • Definitely my least fav track so far. Boring, generic 'thrash' metal.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

GoR...maybe you just really don't like Metallica. Best to stick with Meshuggah

                • Neither of those tracks work for me. I guess I just don't like Metallica.
                  "Dear Dr. Bill,
I work with a woman who is about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 450 pounds and has more facial hair than ZZ Top." - Jack The Riffer

"OK, we can both have Ben..joint custody. I'll have him on the weekends. We could go out in my Cobra and give people the finger..weather permitting of course.." -Bill Z. Bub

The production really stinks though. The guitar sound is way too loose for the riffs they're playing and the drums are too low in the mix.

I think I'll listen to this one again.
It might be due to the low quality of the file. I would think that they would be the last people to put up 1st quality stuff for free. It probably sounds a lot "fuller" on the actual cd.

                    • Second tune:
Is it just me hearing the drums getting WAAAAAAY out of time in the first section?
Other than that... hmmm very metal, yeah!
                      "You're fired"
"Wow,... that was some of the hardest rockin ever. Hardest to listen too."

                      • OK, I get it... not just the first section.
Kirk does his thing first, then, the drummer tries to keep up with the track.
                        Bad idea.

                        New drummer please.

                        ASAP

                        • Second one sounds like they're trying to do Master of Puppets again. Which is better than trying to do Load again, but still not really that great a song.
                          Meh.

Actually the more it goes along, the more it sounds like latter day Slayer! Even the end of the solo is like Slayer.

                          • I think if you remove the ill-timed snare, it would improve.
Then the song would have only one beat anyhow.
I can't understand my own ears, the timing is so off.

He's a mind reader! That's precisely what I thought when I first heard it. Which makes me dislike it even more. I'm just not a Metallica person. I'd rather listen to bald dudes in capes sing D6's than that (Bill knows what I'm talkin' about).
