I'm in the same kind of situation. None of the music I like is really playable at a wedding and definitely not for the first dance. I'm thinkin' on just agreeing with what she wants, then having a few shots in the limo on the way to the reception
I'm not afraid to bleed, but I won't do it for you.

I feel bad for posting this in a Jackson guitar forum, but you asked for a suggestion.

LOL dude, who told you the wedding has anything to do with you?

My wife and both of our mothers planned the wedding. All I had to do was show up and not start drinking until after the "I DO"s, which really wasnt a problem.

I had some input every now and then during the planning, which usually got me three looks of death, but for the most part I sat back and let my wife have her wedding. It's not for you, its for her, don't forget that, and make sure she knows it.

I got MY wedding when we went to Vegas for our second anniversary and got married by Elvis at "Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel" on the strip.

4.) Never go to bed mad

Diane and my "First Dance" at our wedding was "It's Over Now" by Frehley's Comet:

It's a Tod Howarth song, not and Ace song. Dollars to donuts Ace didn't play a note on it or sing on it.

Not a very well known song, but it summed up my feelings really well towards my wife. Although the title is misleading - the context of the song is "You will never hear me say the words 'It's Over Now'".

Ask her dad for suggestions for the song. Hopefully you can cash it back in when you are in the dog house.

Yep, Bill nailed it with the VH. I'd personally go with Dance The Night Away.

She is constantly asking for my input... I don't have much... she gets annoyed, lol.

And we have already violated all four important things to remember... *sigh*.

At least we agreed on the honeymoon *Ireland*.

I hate VH. But even if I didn't, she wants something on the slow side to dance to. Neither one of us are dancing fools, if ya know what I mean. Just 2 songs to slow dance to.

I suggested Oasis-Wonderwall... the lyrics fit us perfectly (at least the way I interpret them). Both of us can relate from a first person perspective. I already edited 44 measures from the tune to try and eliminate some of the monotony.... I need to see if I can slow it down a little and staill maintain the integrity of the quality. But before anyone says it... I already know it is sort of a gay tune, .
