Probably ones about yeast infections or sensible work shoes for mature ladies (more women should be looking online for thigh-highs with 6" heels, IMHO).

Ensure you repay the favour by using her machine so that she gets repeated A2M pop-ups. Just tell her you were looking for her birthday surprise, she'll put 2 and 2 together and will be very subdued, at least up until her next birthday. You may have problems at home though, she may go apeshit if you make any sudden movements, and sex may be completely off the cards. Again.

(If she is in any way excited or encouraged by your little revenge plan, well, fucking hell, brilliant! Lend her to me for a couple of weeks, I promise I won't break her)

As for your computer? Meh, what the fuck do I know?
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

    I nearly broke her back

      Just reinstall

An unpatched Windows host (we're talking about Windows, aren't we?) survives 4 minutes online. You have probably a lot of dialers and rootkits installed and are already a spambot. You can try to clean up an infested computer, but it is a PITA and cannot be 100% complete - there are too many applications having too many features.

Safe your personal data (you will have less than you think), reinstall the thing (a cool way to clean up all the cruft in the registry), make images of the installation (partition logic works fine) so in future you can restore your host into a clean, defined state in half an hour or so.

Now that woman have got the right to vote, we have to bear some restrictions in our authority over them. If you don't want her use your box, install something with a WAF of 0, like BSD (Free, Open, or Net), Linux, or Plan9 and buy her a Mac.

Put Vista on and let UAC take care of things. Make a standard user account for your wife and don't tell her your password. She'll only be able to install things into her user-space without your permission, so the next time she clicks on something she shouldn't have, it won't bother you.

But this was assuming the worst case, an infection. Just walk through your internet security options to see whether pop-ups&friends are allowed and turn them off.

Or just buy her some nice shoes, pat her arse and send her off into the kitchen to make some nice cakes or a cup of tea for you.

Check with your ISP. They should have some sort of free virus adware removal software for free. Just down load it and let it take care of it. Even if you have to pay additional fees for it to be rmoved it will still give you a list of the programs. So you can just scan your registry for them and delete them or a file in them so they wont function. I've done this a few times with pretty good success.

You just got married not more than a year or so ago, right?- do yourself a favor... go file for divorce over this. Trust me, it'll lead to nothing but more and more trouble...

One night I cam home a day after my wife did the same thing to me...and she left the F'in stereo on.... all day... and the dvd player too.

It was all downhill after that.
You're thinking of someone else. I've been married 7 years, and together for about 11.

Some IQ test thing keeps popping up, as well as something that says my computer is infected and I should download some fucking registry cleaner. How ironic.

I say: go hit up a hooker and return the favor.

You ask 50 people what kind of anti-spyware to use and you will get 50 answers. From someone who has done well over 100 PC repairs of just spyware problems alone, run the 2 top rated programs (adWare & Spybot). If you still have the pop-ups, run Housecall from Trend Micro. If you still have pop-ups, format.

                            +1

I do alot of IT for a living and I only use Adaware and Spybot everything else is just a clone or not as effective.

Sometimes you have to Format C:\
