They been playin this on the radio all day, heard Brian Johnson the other day say although Back in Black is a classic ect,.. he felt this is the best album they have done, showing the capabilities of the band. To me it does sound more rich in tones and mature in vibe, whilst still sounding exactly like AC/DC, so Great!
Even if it gets tired, you can expect one thing from AC/DC, consistent Dirty ROCK & ROLL.
There have been bands that try to cop the sound feel ect,...and pretty much every one of them, while some add their own vibe ect, and might write a catchy tune ect, to me, they just sound like AC/DC ripoff bands.
Just give me the real thing, this sound, this style, they own it.
They are so great in fact, that they have somewhat been shelved into just a staple, you hear them, and you go, yeah, that's AC/DC, and people turn it up, and they rock out, and then they hope for the newest one hit wonder to come on.
They don't really get their just deserts as one of if not thee greatest Hard Rock & Roll band of all time.
fuck, where's Those about to Rock, i'm feelin it....
I'll add, i think i'd be somewhat pissed if they ever did change XDLast edited by Trem; 08-28-2008, 10:17 PM.

I'd rather a band is consistently brilliant but samey, than a band that wants to "expand" and turn into a steaming pile of shit.
But when I think of bands who don't evolve even a little... AC/DC, and Nickelback are the two that instantly come to mind. And everything that I have heard from either band sounds like everything else I have heard from them. I haven't heard enough Kiss to say whether or not they evolve.... what I have heard involves the chorus being repeated over and over and over and over and over again.Last edited by Musician78; 08-29-2008, 06:57 AM."I would have banned you for taking part in hijacking and derailing a thread when you could have started your own thread about your own topic." - Unknown

What I don't understand is when people say things like, "OH I like a band to change".
Why can't there be a place for both kinds of band? AC/DC type bands that stick to a formula, AND Tull like bands who sound totally different on each album?
As long as the songs are good, then why does there have to be an issue?
Again, I'll say it - if you think the songs are shit, fine, say so. To justify your dislike of the music by saying "It all sounds the same" is a worthless argument.

If you're going to take the "singles" AC/DC has put out....Yeah...They are quite similar...
But..."Let Me Put My Love Into You" (Wait...That looks bad...I'm talking about the song )
does not sound like any of their singles...Niether does "Spellbound" or "Overdose" How about..."Whats Next to the Moon?" "Night Prowler"
I didn't pay much attention to them after Razors Edge...

I got everything up to Flick of the Switch. That's all I really need. I still really like 'em..but that's where all my faves stopped.
I just have all the 70's Kiss too..I had their 80's stuff but those are all gone. That's all I need if and when I get the itch for them."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
