I also enjoyed reading a LOT of books (still do) and playing computer games. But I didn't spend hours on end on a computer, I spent those free hours outside with friends playing soccer and stuff."Dear Dr. Bill,

I don't like the "relic'ed" jeans though.
Unfortunately everything I've bought in the last couple years fades and rips so easily that they look "relic'ed" after a few months anyway.
None of the stuff you're complaining about is unique to kids, unfortunately. That's just the way of most people in this country (I don't know about other countries...).

Wassup fellas!!!
Well I'm just droppin' by for a minute. Unfornutely, we had some troubling news about my wife..so, I've been somewhat consumed with that. It just never stops. I'll elaborate on my thread...I've been wanting to post there..I will soon!
I think Ben is a great kid. I didn't realize he was that young...but we hit it off immediately. I'm glad to share my knowledge of metal with people willing to seek the best TRUE metal has to offer..of any genre!
Jacksons Shred is 16 and one hell of a player for couple years experience...and a friend as well.
I just met Metal Reaper just recently..also seems very cool.
I haven't changed since I was 16..just grouchier with bills now. I was ALWAYS a defender of true metal. Die hards is why TRUE metal will ALWAYS be, no matter what's popular!! I even dress the same as I did at 13. You can't go wrong with the traditional biker leather thats been around for about 100 years..and Levi 505s or 501s. Did ya know that 505s are the same as 501's but with a zipper..that's the only difference. I waer several various combat boots with the toe cap..shined to mirrors. So, no matter of fasion trends. Fasion/Music go hand in hand and true metal has stood the test of time. Besides it so easy to pick what to wear..no colors to match...just black!
I've argued with members that stood strongly by Nu "metal"...Rap "metal"..and ect. They didn't know better because that's what the mainstream dictated what metal was. Nothing but a few years of hindsight made blatanly clear...Well, I told ya so!!!
*BTW..Look for a major RANT about metal coming soon! It'll be simple logic that hasn't been mentioned by anyone so far. Simple logic that even a sea slug can understand! It'll be on my thread. I will shine light so bright even the blind or dead will see..trust me!
I get MANY PMs asking about new metal to check out..I will invite them to check with me when I'll make those suggestions at that time.
666 HORNS UP!!!

Or you could try to put something on your local newspaper.
If I had a local newspaper I would put a "Wanted: bassist for metal band" there
I should see if my friend wants to play drums. He absolutely adores Rock Band drums so maybe he'd like real drums."Dear Dr. Bill,

I figured Ben was closer to 20. Being an enlightened 16 year-old is tough. Just wait until you get to college and all of a sudden you'll find more people like you. Then you'll go home and find the "cool" people stuck working at Barnes & Noble until they're 30.
I'm curious what people think my age is, without cheating and looking at my profile.Scott

Spiv, I'd place you in early to mid-twenties? And yes, being "enlightened" is a pain. I've been looking forward to university for a long time. It won't come soon enough I'm afraid.
Edit: People PM Bill about music recommendations? I just ask on his thread because then other people can get them too and it gives more things to discuss."Dear Dr. Bill,

Ben, Thank you for mentioning that. That is a very good point. I get lots of PMs in c/w music recommendations. I don't mind this at all, but sometimes I'm not here or just busy with homelife. It can be overwhelming of the amount of questions when I return.. asking the same questions..."Bill, point me to some great new metal"..
Alot of people are specific of the music they prefer and want to know about similar bands. Sometimes those questions are the hardest to answer because sometimes there is so many bands to choose from, it takes some invest. I have a library of just over 5000 TRUE Metal cds. Due to limited space and constant incoming new metal..it forced me to become a sort of elitist. I can only house approx 6500 cds..so, they better be "keepers or "must haves" IMO. I'm constantly weeding thru them to keep space available for such music.
Contrary to popular belief there is countless bands that are similair in style to classic/modern Metallica, Megadeth, Queenryche, and ect. So It may take a little time looking thru my collection to answer specific questions. I never want to steer someone in the wrong direction, and haven't so far...I hope.
So I'm going to concentrate much on metal in my thread @ "Casa Del Fuggems". This will include my suggestions, opinions, rants and my usual obnoxious whatnots and whathaveyous. Many times I suggest the same bands to different poeple in private. So, being open about it will be better for everyone..including me!
Besides, there is a handful of friends that are extremely versed in metal as well. Who have given me MANY suggestions thru the years for some great new metal. So, everybody wins..including me!
Metal is like a fucking religion to many, it certainly is to me. So, I feel obligated to "spread the word"..so to speak.
