I had the same issue with SP3 autoupdate. I will not go through all the mess it involved to get it back up and running. All the WGA files got corrupted and I could not activate/validate my version of windows XP. Nevermind I have 3 original discs from 3 PC's. I am not talking OEM versions either. It was a massive mess and believe me when I say Microsoft tech help is like talking to a wall. Thank goodness for the internet and other people that are willing to help.

I'm a tech in a large school environment and this I know.
SP3 is no where near ready for professional environments, Schools, Hospitials, Corp. Offices, Banks, HR Offices/payrolls and etc.
Its a hellish nightmare and it should have never been released like it is.
Bad judgement on Microsoft's behalf.Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...
"Anyone who tries to fling crap my way better have a really good crap flinger."
I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.
Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

SP3 is apparently a problem for a lot of people.
I'm sticking with SP2 since SP3 wouldn't work.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
