I went through the same thing about 3 yrs. ago. She wanted out, I didn't. It damn near killed me. I could never commit suicide. But I WANTED to die. We had it all and then all of a sudden, nothing. I jumped from hide to hide trying to fill the emptiness, then just decided to stay single for awhile. When I finally decided I didn't want anyone, I found a cute little keeper, lol. I know the pain you're going through, it sucks balls. It WILL subside with time. They say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. I know that after living through that, everything else is a little easier. Keep your chin up.

Dude, people grow apart. As simple as that.
Even if you, physically, live with someone mentally you could drift away a bit at a time and when you realize it you are miles away and can't find your way back.

It is like when you are driving and all of the sudden you are THERE and wonder how in the fuck I got here?!
It sucks to no end, but it happens. Yes, people hurt, a lot of people hurt. One of this "little" mental lapses ruin other peoples lives for fuckingever. Life sucks.
