Cool G..that is my intention. I know EXACTLY what you're looking for. I'm not posting any black or death metal bands to turn off any would be fans of new metal..I did post Arch Enemy..but I love the Amott bros.
You may also want to check out my Zeno Roth thread in the artist section..prolly right up your alley. Lots of AOR stuff going on in there...bands like Fair Warning, Gotthard, Jaded Heat, Ten, Millenium, Vandenberg, Starbreaker, ..I'll ooze some stuff of that in here too. Awesome vocals, guitars, musicianship and most importantly great songs!!
I like the AOR stuff too, but I am trying to keep this thread as metal as I can..without freaking anyone out.
I love this thread!
Keep posting the vids. So many artists and bands I've not heard before.
Dream Evil, Black Tide, Firewind? Those bands really speak to me. Not so much the DEATH or BLACK metal. I like some of it just fine, till the vocals kick in.
I'm a fan of AOR as well; Whitesnake, TNT, House Of Lords, and similar types. However, that TigerNailz and all those other pretty boy hair bands influenced by the Poison image and sound? No thanks!
As it is in the music biz, something gets popular and before you know it, the market gets so totally flooded and drenched with the same drivel, that one loses interest after a while. That's when it becomes a trend. I've not heard of TigerNailz because of the very reason I just mentioned.
Cheers!
G.
Wished they had better quality vids with Andre while he was in the band. But you can check out the two studio releases he's on "Noferatu" and "A distant thunder"..they're posted on youtube.
MY AGENDA: To convert all those stuck in that 80's and show that there is new metal with all the elements you loved about the 80's..just amped up a bit, and modern.
Hey we're just out here in the desert, but it is imperative we have the bands name in shiny behind the kit, in case someone needs to know who we are.
Also that laugh at 3:09 is priceless.
