Tommy was in Kreator for a while. But he didn't get much solo action. He's an awesome player IMO! One of my faves.
Sadly, Tommy isn't "in" the band. He's a producer... Pretty cool nonetheless.

Man, wish he'd play again, always seriously dug his playing.

To me it's metal, but I've seen them classed as an Alternative band. They have a slight Psychedelic bent at times, but they're still metal sounding.

In fact, it seems to me that in the 90's when the Alternative genre came to fruition that many bands were wrongly described as Alternative.

I realize that the Alternative genre was heavily influenced by the Psychedelic sixties, but any band that had elements of that in the 90's were automatically put in the same category as Oasis.
    Damn A&R blockheads!
I'd class them as good music.
I don't know what "wrongly described as Alternative" means because as a hater of categorization I think alternative is one of the best things you can be called. Alternative is not style, it's probably the most diverse category in rock'n'roll. It means you offer alternatives to the usual rock. And there's many ways to do it hence why there are so many different bands called alternative. Alternative bands have very very different influences. Psychedelic rock is on of the main ones but then you also have all the other music styles in existence.
One of the most important Alternative rock bands Jane's Addiction had many different influences... the signer was a goth fan, the guitarist was a metal/rock fan, the bassist was a punk fan, the drummer was a jazz/fusion/prog fan.
Another very important alternative group is Radiohead. Notice any similarities between them and Jane's Addiction... I don't. Or what about Tool, heavily influenced of prog rock and metal... they don't sound like Radiohead at all.
Warrior Soul has many similarities with I Mother Earth, Jane's Addiction etc. Warrior Soul is alternative. Oasis is gayass Britpop.

I'm not sure. They seem more hard rockish than metal but they do have some elements of some of the old metal from the 80's. The psychedelic stuff I have no clue about. That stuff doesn't really hit me as metal. I like the second link the best out of the six.

    *Cough, cough*

Oops, sorry. I DEFINITELY didn't mean to resurrect this thread. It's not like there's any good music out right now...

None at all... Or any to discuss...

    None of that either...

Why did I accidentally bring this thread up... Silly me.

This is kinda scaring me. They're starting to get semi-good bands in these games and I can't help but worry that little 13-year olds will start listening to them and ruining their fan bases.

I saw The Sword and really enjoyed their live show.

Yes, I've said this many times.

All Trends have expiration dates and metal is timeless. Metal is the anti-trend. its that simple.

Sabbath was the beginning of metal due to Toni's severed digits. Those fingertips sewn the seeds of metal in Earth. Since then, a metal forest has grown from those seeds...an underground forest of evil bushery

Hail to the metal shrubs spawned by Iommi's severed nubs.
