    • On the topic of Lost Horizon(Greatest band ever IMO) here's a song that'll put hair on your chest. It's so manly:

      "Dear Dr. Bill,
I work with a woman who is about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 450 pounds and has more facial hair than ZZ Top." - Jack The Riffer

"OK, we can both have Ben..joint custody. I'll have him on the weekends. We could go out in my Cobra and give people the finger..weather permitting of course.." -Bill Z. Bub

      • Slayer is metal.

Many metal bands evolved from hard rock to metal to bubblegum metal. Slayer never did bazooka joe metal...

And even though they dont get along at times... many times. sometimes all the time... they stay together and do metal.

But the only bummer is that it's a cassette. As far as I know it hasn't been re issued on CD yet.

Yes. Slayer is Metal Bill Z. I just thought I would mention it once more since it had not been mentioned in the last few pages... lol.

BUT. Who in your opinion was the first TRUE METAL ALL METAL STAYED METAL band of all time....

              Slayer? Hmmm.

Can't say Sabbath. Maybe the GODFATERS of what was to be but I can think of a few non-metal moments in there career where they flaked....

              • So Bill, just wondering what you think of All That Remains covering "Believe in Nothing". Metal or trend?

                • Slayer had a non metal moment of their own with that cover of "Born to be wild".
Other than that I'd have to agree with you. Sabbath will always be my fav though!

                          • To me, that's more metal than some of the "core" crap that is considered metal in the mainstream.

                            • core isn't supposed to be metal... core comes from punk... first there was hardcore (punk on steroids) then there was grindcore and then all the other stuff
