Doing their new song, "Come On", "Poised to become the new anthem for the NHL" Thoughts on this one? I was bored from the gate, and I'm a fan of Def Leppard. Vivian is back stuck on a wah pedal, I dunno how long ago that happened. Phil did a total of nothing in this song. Yippy hurray. Go Leafs, I guess.

I caught a few songs. Was the sound just poor on the television transmission or has Joe really lost that much of his upper register?

I've seen performances of theirs on TV recently and Joe sounds awful. But when I saw them in Glasgow recently he sounded fine.
As for the song, "C'mon C'mon" it's grown on me. It's a good song to sing along to. Viv seems to use a wah pedal for every solo he does on the new album - maybe it's for more contrast between him and Phil.

I really like Sparkle Lounge...but then I put on Hysteria and I think to myself...What happened to this band !???

Joe's vocals really create the divide between what they used to sound like and what they sound like now. The low register just kills the energy of potentially great songs.

Also, production used to be part of the Def Leppard "brand"...the guitar tone and general sonics of the new album are sub par for any bands standards.

Yes - exactly the same reaction Joe Elliot probably had when he saw it.

Ice hockey means nothing in the UK, I don't know anything about it. For all I know you're actually talking about a golf or "football" cup. I just assumed NHL means hockey league.
