I hear he puts on really thin fretboards.

great guitars but poor resale...if buying used you should be able to haggle a GREAT deal.

As an owner of a GMW blueburst Jake, I agree on both points. Is it just a case of no name-recognition? I see Suhrs and Andersons really holding their value. I've always been curious why GMW's don't do as well... hmmmm...

I love them. I have 6 GMWs and they're awesome. And I will be ordering more. The bang for buck is great, and the quality is top notch. And the resale is probably no worse than a new Charvel....

Vic here had a big issue with GMW (which is what the thin fretboard comment relates to) and I'm sure he'll post in this thread. However, I've not heard of anyone else with QC problems with their GMW...

Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

I am a big fan of GMWs. I have 5 right now that I bought new - 4 were my custom specs and 1 was one Lee had just finished. I've had two others that I bought used. Robert Burns has one of them, not sure who ended up with the other.

In fact, Robert I would take that guitar back in a heartbeat if you ever sell it !!!
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

The QC was a big issue, but I think a greater issue was the customer service Vic received. Lee could've made good on it (from all the stellar feedback you see about him, he is certainly capable), but he totally dropped the ball.
