Now all we need is the new Anthrax material and we'll see what the Big Four are all about these days. I'm not holding my breath, and in fact, won't even be buying their (or Slayer's) new albums.

One of my fav bands! I love Christ Illusion cause it's a return to their roots. I didnt care for God Hates Us All as a whole cause the down tuning didnt mesh well with their speed.
They are the AC/DC of Speed Metal!

If you go to a Metallica concert now you will hear 90% of there old songs, but SLAYER kisks ass playing songs from all of there records. There is no difference in the ass that they kicked in the 80s, 90s and 00s

It sounds like shit to me. And I love Slayer up to South of Heaven and maybe most of Seasons.
This song is just fast and boring. No cool licks, no evil sounding licks, just go fast and Tom will shout over it.

Sounds loose and live, almost punk in its rawness. Not their best song, but at least it's concise. Basically sounds like they went in to show Metallica how it's done - record drums live (with a REAL drummer, Lars), find a string of riffs that make sense together (Not some random log of previously rejected, marginally catchy prog poo), sing without autotune (Just hire someone that knows how to use the program, so you don't sound like Cher, James), mix it loud and dry (and distribute it properly mastered, Rubin) and tour with a clear conscience, with nothing to prove to your fans that know you've never given up on the respect you have for each other, for them and for the spirit of the music that built your career.Comment
