In the oven, put a few small slits in the skin on the breast, put some butter UNDER the skin. Rub rest of turkey in butter..cover with foil, bake, uncover the last 30 mins or so so it can brown.

Put a piece of Aluminum foil on top of the turkey and then stick it in a paper bag and cook it.

Brining it for at least 6 hours. First time I've done it this way, second turkey overall. Then I'm roasting for a 1/2 hour at 500 F to brown the skin, then roasting it at 350 until it reaches 161 F internally. All of this done in my electric roasting pan. (well, except the brining)

Brining idea and recipe via my hero, Alton Brown.

Started brining it last night. Today I'll dry it, inject it with garlic butter, rub it with special dry spice mix, and drop her in the fryer. Yep, we special ordered a hen.

For an appetizer I'm making some shrimp. Huge Key West pinks that my brother brought up flash frozen right off the boat. I butterfly them, stuff them with a little Monterey Jack cheese, wrap them in bacon and put them in the oven. While they are cooking I'll baste them with more garlic butter and at the end I'll sprinkle some grated Asiago cheese over the top.

Then I'll double up on my blood pressure meds for a couple days.

How do you cook your turkey?

I've never personally "owned" a turkey, so I have to say I eat my turkey however somebody else cooks it.

Brined it for 6 hours then rotisserie on the grill. Yum! Also got a duck in the oven.
