I think a little planning on Wal-Mart's behalf could have prevented stampede conditions. Hell, if nothing else, they could have put the pedestrian gates outside the facility which would have forced the majority of the knotheads to enter somewhat restrained. Of course, then you would had some overweight person trying to crawl over the gate and injurying themselves. Since it's in the parking lot, possible grounds for a lawsuit.

But you're right Tim, those people that trampled that poor guy should be punished. However, I don't think it'll happen. It'll be too hard to prove who pushed who and the excuse "I was just caught up in the rush, I couldn't move anyway but forward with the crowd," will be used quite extensively.

Down here we call them cattle chutes. Would be perfect for these assholes. When they start pushin or crowding, calm them down with the cattle prod.

As to the topic at hand, my wife went out to Walmart around lunch on Friday and said that the prices weren't any lower than what they normally are.

That's because black friday is only from 6 am to 10 am at Walmart. The regular items that were on sale go back to regular price at that time and the "special" sale items are usually gone by 7:30 or 8

As for the stampede, they should charge anyone that they can connect with this man's death based on surveillance camera footage. That shit is savage. So was the Toys 'R' Us shootings; should've just let the bitches wail on each other, but the dumbfucks paid with their lives so at least justice was done.

We've probably all been in some crushes at concerts, especially back in the festival seating days on the main floor. Once the crowd is pushing there's really nothing those in the front can do, its move or get trampled.

No shit. I live in north NJ and heard this story on the news radio station 1010 WINS. They said it happened in Valley Stream. I knew it wasn't white trash. I used to deliver to the Valley Stream A&S when I was a truck driver.

i live not far from there, Valley Stream is NOT trash at all actually its a fairly wealth WHITE neighborhood. tho its very close the queens border & alot of lower class neighborHOODs. There have always been problems around there & greenacres mall (same area) during this season. most people i know who live in that area dont shop there unless they have to do to the area shit heads that live not far from there.

as for holiday shopping, there were reports people were reselling what they bought on sale in the parking lot of walmart that same day. its not shopping its trash trying to make a buck.
