300 shot would leave a nice oil slick on the road, plus I'm a blower guy. Never cared for NOS even though it's cheaper initially. I know it's not the fastest thing on the road (and don't really care), but it runs pretty good for what's done to it. My goal was to have something kinda quick, but not to take away from actually being able to drive it.

So what was your MPH in the 1/8th mile with the Mopar...LOL. Just kidding, I actually like old Mopar's and had a 1970 Roadrunner which I should have never sold. What did kinda Mopar you have?

The car in question was a 71 Dodge Demon 340 cu in Joe Pisano built motor but it had a Racer Brown solid lifter cam(don't remember the lift and duration)Carter themoquad carb,Stahl headers 4000 stall speed converter manual shift valve body.
4.88 rear end gears. NHRA SS/IA it ran consistant 10.50's at 127 mph +or -.
As for Mopars heres the list 64 Plymouth Sport Fury 426 stage II wedge headed motor/auto,65 Barracuda 273 cu in 4 speed,67 Dodge Coronet R/T 440/auto,69 Plymouth Road runner 426 Hemi 4 speed,70 Cuda 440+6 4 speed,70 Road runner 440/auto.
Odd assorted other drag cars 65 corvette 331 cu in small block Hilborn fuel injection,
rear engine dragster 250 in wheel base 417 Donovan Hemi 671 blower 2 speed Lenco planatary trans(air shift)Nitro methane or alcohol depending which set of heads I had on the motor.
Wish I had all that stuff back I'd be wealthy huh?

Not to derail the original thread but since you're a Mopar guy... I'm a Ford guy who also likes Mopars, have a 72 Challenger that I've owned since 1982. About 3 years ago I got to tour Ray Barton's shop, for those that don't know him he is big in the Hemi world building lots of motors for the Super Stock Cuda/Dart crowd. Talk about Mopar heaven, he bought a closed Cadillac dealership building and converted it into his "shop". Hemi's all over the place! BTW, his Super Stock GT car which is a 318 powered Arrow went in the 10's

No muscle cars at this point in time sad to say but have my eye on a 68 Dodge Dart 440 GSS its an original Mr Norm's car too (Grand Spaulding Dodge).Just down the street my neighbor owns my old 64 Sport Fury so I can go visit it if I need to.He's working on a 68 Dart with a 383/4speed that will be up for sale when he gets it done.
I sold him an old Dana 60 rear end several years ago and he is going to cut it to 44 in. and tub the Dart should be cool when done.
I had a 70 Challenger too 383 /auto not an R/T just a grocery getter.
Side note: There is a kid in town that has a Plymouth Arrow with a 360 that is built to the hilt.360 30 over, roller cam, 1 Holley Dominator 1000 CFM carb on top 300 shot NOS kit,Dana 60 rear 4 link,Art Morrison tube chassis not sure what trans he has in it but its a well respected street car in these parts.
I saw him crank down on it last summer coming out of one of the local hang outs and it carried the front end thru 3 gears.Not too shabby.
There is an S-10 pickup here in town that has a blown big block(406) that is pretty wicked.

Geat cars, true classics, guys love 'em..BUT if you really want to get attention..it's all about the cobra.

I though my sweet black vette was a pussy magnet and it is..but it has nothing on the cobra whatsoever. Here's the deal, whatever car I pull next to at an intersection..that car instantly becomes invisible. At ANY given car show with lines of awesome vettes, mustangs, and hot rods..all the girls takes picture with my car. I'm such a nice guy I let them sit in my car for the pictures..man, they get giddy. Ask Cleve John about the puss all over my car. I can tell all vette clicks get a little pissed whenever I parl my shit there..but I treat them with respect, and got to know them. I still really love vettes..but there's ALOT of them!

You wanna get your wife mad? Buy a cobra and take off for a day without her..that'll do it..

I just ot the 2009 Dodge Challenger SE. (Will load pics when I can) V6...But gonna put a Turbo on it. Muscle Cars and Cobras do Rock. For the record...my wife thinks the Challenger looks too mean? Both me and the salesman said at the same time "That's what it's supposed to look like! It's a Muscle Car!" BTW... All women are crazy...I've been married 13 years. And on a Level from 1-10, all women start on on Level 3. And then elevate from there from time to time. But I love her anyway.
