I used to have this El Camino, 327, headers,cragars, was going to see some band out of dallas when this dip shit wanted to fight. I was in clean clothes and had plans so I started driving off. The dumb ass grabbed the tail gate as I was driving off.I figured he would turn loose but he didn't so I got up to about 40 MPH with him "Ski'ing" and drove that fast for 2 blocks. When I came to the stop sign I stopped and he let go. I bet his shoes were hotter than hell, plus he had to walk all the way back to his car!

Ha ha, that's a pretty hilarious image! I hope you shouted some abuse at him as he went back to his car. I'd have been tempted to follow him in the hope he caught hold again.

You're of course correct. But, Val really deals with things well. Much much better than the average woman I think.

I imagine 21 yrs of living Bill has made her a very strong person. Haha...

This sort of thing would definitely freak the average person out quite seriously. But, I've seen Val just roll her eyes, shake her head and walk off on things that would cause most people to truly amp out. She's quite special.

Val has been through a LOT of stress and events with Bill being a police officer for 13 yrs in one of the 10 most dangerous cities in the US ... This event definitely sucked, but they will be fine for the most part.

Trust me, Val has lived with "BILL" for 21 yrs, she can deal with and handle most anything.

I guess that's a good point. I still think it would be terrifying to see someone you know is injured to get into a fight. I guess Bill can handle himself well though.

Yeah I guess that's a little cold. I'm sure that Xbox will have some sentimental value with the story behind it. It sure would for me. That moron made a terrible choice and he got what he deserved. I still feel kinda bad for Val. It sounds like she's got enough going on and that was just more added more things to think about.

Let's just hope the rest of the Christmas season goes better for everybody. Enough bad things are going on in this world and we don't need more. Merry Christmas everybody.

Joining in kinda late. First off, glad to hear Bill is doing good, all things considered.
As far as the questions of if what he did was justified, it definitely was. I don't have the formal police training like Bill and John do. I do have training in security through many courses in the Navy, including a two week course at Blackwater (yes the "mercenaries" that are under investigation).
Bottom line, in Bill's case, deadly force would be authorized according to my training. The triangle was met: intent, opportunity, and capability. This douche fucking with our broseph met all three. Capability does not mean just capable of killing you, it means causing "gross bodily harm", and in Bill's case, with his previous injury, this fuckface could've paralyzed him.
You use the amount of force that's enough to neutralize the threat, whether that be 2 in the chest 1 in the head, a tazer, an asp, OC spray, or a beatdown. Bill neutralized the threat, and kept himself relatively unharmed, and most importantly, the love of his life.
Hats off to you Bill, there are too many assholes in this world that need to learn a lesson. Glad you gave this guy a lesson he'll not soon forget.
