I'll go out on a limb here and say that I think it's a good idea. Maybe seeing this black guy who worked his way up the chain take office will show these "troubled youth" that there are other options to a life of crime.

Confused? No... Angry? Likely... Nothing about "white guy" stuff here. Not sure why that is even being brought into the discussion. Nothing better to add there?

Comments like that, certainly help people understand why things are the way they are there.

Maybe the old lady those kids beat up will chip in hoping to make them feel better about themselves.

Hell why not? Back in my day..........blah............ and that's why the world can go to hell for all I care!

Don't worry Cali will always be here to make you feel better about wheresoever you live!
no idea where the white guy thing came into play ,a crime was commited . Now in the course of incarceration , these thugs (yes thugs ,that's what I would call a 3 on 1 fight with anyone(let alone an old lady)) will be given something that can be deemed as a reward . Maybe I've lost touch with Californa-reality , but there are probalbly 3 other disadvantaged youths (trying to do right , I.E. - not thugs) that this could have gone too.

And Aron - 'Don't worry Cali will always be here' ...... nope I've heard for a long time ,you're 1 earthquake away from falling into the ocean.I'm already buying oceanfront property in Arizona !!!!

hahahahaha, that WHOLE thing with the kids reeks of american public schools!!!!

example - last week i was talking to a pair of student in the courtyard, close to the upstairs breeze-way. 3 other students were up there skipping class. after i wrote hall passes for the 2 kids i was talking to, the 3 upstairs began yelling cuss words at me. i looked up and gave them a thumbs up with a roll of the eyes.

well, an assitant principal walked up, directed the kids to go to class. i looked at her and said "what's their deal?" she said "they are EBD." (extreme behavior disorder) i was like, "okay." as we walked toward the building door, one of the kids hit me in the head with a pencil. i told the AP and she said. "what do you want me to do about it?" i said, "nothing. i am gonna press charges." she asked, "why?" i said, "these pieces of shit need a REAL lesson. to hit me with a pencil - with enough force that it left a mark on my shirt?!?!? FUCK THAT." she said, "now, mr. denman, watch your mouth." i laughed and walked away.

a little while later, i was sitting on a couch in the lounge, playing cards on my cell phone and the school behavior specialist came in. she asked if i was mr. denman. i said, "yep." she told me that she had 2 students that wanted to apologize for hitting me with the pencil so i don't press charges.

i said, "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!" then i heard a punk voice saying "that man used profanity at us!!"

          i said, "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

as i said that, the lady was telling the kids not to cuss in the hallway....

she sent them on their way....

she came in and basically begged me not to press charges on the kids. i told her that i am sick of people like her enabling this behavior. i told her it was on the video camera and showed her the mark on my shirt. i told her i had already talked to the school resource officer and filled out the paper.

she asked what good it would do.

i said, "well, for one, it'll show them that they can't always get away with violent acts because of the way they are labled. these kids need to learn that there are consequences for their actions. i have a right to come do my job, not be verbally attacked, THEN assulated with a deadly missile."

she was VERY angry with me. i had to listen to her BS rhetoric about positive reinforcement and rewards....basically the same crap that california is thinking with those 3 criminals.

when KIDS are enabled to apologize or see special events to "HELP them see the light" all we are doing is creating manipulators. these kids at my school went on a "rampage" in their following class because "day wuz gonna gitin truh-bull".

THEY TRASHED A CLASSROOM!!!!!! A ROOM WITH 23 OTHER KIDS!!!! THEY FLIPPED THE DESKS, TORE EVERYTHING OFF THE WALLS!!!! PHYISCALLY ASSUALTED 2 OTHER STUDENTS!!!!!

but, because they have been labeled as EBD, NOTHING happened to them. according to the "americans with disability act of 1973", labeled children are only ALLOWED to be suspended from school for a maximum of 10 days. in order for the students to be tranferred to another school, an FBA (i forgot what this stands for) process must be started. this process takes 3 months to complete- the teachers have to document EVERY bad behavior, fill out charts on a daily basis, attend extra meetings with the parents....THEN if the parent DOESN'T want their child moved, the whole process was a waste of time!!!!!

these students aren't even allowed to be kept in "self contained" classrooms if their parents don't want them to be. a "self contained" classroom is one in which all the students have the same disability. there are 2 teachers in the room, with specialties in ESE education, and there are less kids in the room.

BOTH of these kids have parents that REFUSE to have them moved or put into self contained classrooms.

it is a joke. what will happen because i pressed charges? not much. MAYBE a misdemeanor conviction that results in a letter of apology or community service, since the event was caught on camera. i don't care WHAT happens. i just want those future inmates to MAYBE learn a REAL lesson.....

the lesson being.....PEOPLE AREN'T GONNA PUT UP WITH YOUR SHIT FOREVER. JUST BECAUSE YOUR ARE ESE DOESN'T GIVE YOU FREE-REIGN TO DO AS YOU WILL...ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU BECOME AN ADULT, GET A JOB AND ENTER SOCIETY....

hmmm, this kinda stuff PISSES ME OFF - and yes, i blame it on the hippies.
          GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

          and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Just understand something. Some probation officer wants to go to the Obama inauguration and dude finesses a way to get there by bringing some punk kids along. The world will go on spinning and these thugs will probably be better for it. If you can pretend to care for a moment, as if these thugs were your cousins or something, I'm sure you'll figure out why those in the system want to bring them to the big bash. Seems pretty logical, but that pretending to care thing is key to understanding.
Your righteous indignation really doesn't matter. This is just noise for the talk shows; just noise.

Admit it, you'd miss us if we fell into the sea! Nevermind the laws of physics and realities of geology, bring it on, I'm a strong swimmer!

And yes, correct about the white guy comment. That could have gone without saying. Drat.

Look at financials >25% of the money is gone, and most of this was "made" in Cali and NY. Coincidence, or the shell game collapsing.

Imagine this, I beg 25k off of you. I invest it. It goes up to 50k. I say, wow! That was easy, then spend 40k in hopes that the remaining 10k will yield your 25k back. It doesn't, it goes to 8k. Then I come back to you and say. Sorry I lost your money, but man I doubled your money aren't I productive? BTW, can I borrow 25k? That's Cali 4 U.
California and the Northeast have been the most productive areas of the country by far since the 1960s at least. What's gone up in smoke has not been all Cali and NY's faults either because they did not control Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and overextend so many people into mortgages they couldn't afford. The resold bad paper on those mortgages and the oil speculation market were big causes of this problem and they are not limited to California and New York.

No sir ,I'm really not hacking on california(the state) just the mentality as seen in this thread . Apparently ,these punk kids should be nurtured and that old bitch had it coming and should just be thankfull that these kids can recieve a free trip to the innaugeration.I feel that whenever you get a group of that many people together(expecting 5 million)that they're going to problems ,so I guess having some thugs there isn't such a bad idea - hey maybe they could even start the shit too !!!!!!That'd be so great ,hahahahahahahahahahahaha

And oh yeah ,Atlanta's not really that nice -haven't been to cleveland in a while.

No, Cleve isn't that nice. Lotsa low life idiots. But, the general pop, aren't liberal dumbasses that make me sick. So, I can't complain too much.

One of my two best buds who has lived in NY, Cali, Boston, always wants to come back here cus he misses the people and how they act in general. The scumbags of course, are pretty much the same everywhere, but the normal folk who are open and friendly. Farther you get south of here, people get friendlier too.

Endrik, you act like you are so schooled on the US and you were here what 6 months as a visitor to the culture? Try living here 44 years and being PART of the culture, it's different...

I don't act schooled, your attitude towards the others is pretty amusing though. Rather than judging folks on their actions it's always better to pick on their beliefs and political views isn't it?
I agree that those scumbags should get punished but I have yet to see the "tough guy" mentality work on government level.. anywhere in the world. Plenty of countries with liberal dumbasses on the control but the crime rates are low. Can you say that abut your town? Never heard of anyone who wants to move to Ohio, plenty of those who like NYC or LA. They probably act schooled too though...

I know a lot of people that have wanted to move here, or back here after leaving. I can't personally say I would myself because of the dying economy, but I do somewhat like a fair amount of the normal population of people here.

I certainly would NOT move to NY or Cali. Both are very messed up as far as my political leanings and as far as the way people are there.

And our upper management here is liberal democrat and it doesn't work that well.

I find your attitude amusing as well. Actually, I would (and do) PARTICULARLY pick on the actions of the people as well, as it the extension of their political views and beliefs that effects others.

And yeah dude, you do act like you're oh so knowledgable about the place sometimes (as well as other things). That is amusing to "me" considering you were here a few months and were in a place that is seriously NOT what the general make up of America is. I seriously would not base my views on the people of where you were at.

And the "tough guy" stuff as you call it, often does work better than the hug a criminal stuff does.
