That's the problem with this country and A LOT of the people in it. You take what the media says for GOSPEL and all they do is spin, spin spin! How can you possibly make a rational decision on something like this, from hearing a quick 3 minutes blurb on any given news program?

YES, it's very fishy and there's a lot we don't know, but from what we do know, how do you charge capital murder (before they even had any remains mind you) and how can they say yes or no if there was any trauma to that poor child? (Aaron) While I agree, it looks real bad for her and it's probably the right call, but if I were on that jury, it would take a lot more than what we know today to convict her of anything more than child endangerment.

Unfortunately, my brother's ex would leave for weeks on a crack/whorin binge and then come back like nothing ever happened, while her kids were safe with family, what if they didn't have family to dump on? This is exactly the type of thing I get reminded of while looking at this Anthony case.

Again, she is definitely without a doubt in my mind a piece of shit for a mother and other things, but a murderer? You'll have to show me something more and prove that to me.

Anyone of you can be in basically the same boat at any given second merely by someone mentioning your name, like it or not, guilty or not. In this country, you're guilty until proven innocent, sad but true.

The media in this country is evil, that's where these high-profile cases get tried, not in the courts. There's no way she can get a fair trial anywhere in this country, then what?

I hate that whore. Every episode is basically "woman or child dead or injured and there's a man to blame". She's a militant carpet-muncher.

I laughed my sack off when that "runaway bride" showed up saying she panicked and fled to Mexico with some guy. She had the finace` tried, convicted, and executed in a week on her show, and offered NO apology when the truth came out!

Even if she didn’t do it…She probably allowed her daughter to be murdered by NOT reporting it.

Then again…Someone give me a hypothetical scenario that would justify the Mother who is the primary care giver of a child to NOT report her missing…It was actually the Grandmother who did…So Casey wasn’t (likely) going to ever report it…

On this issue, one of my cats has been missing for over 3 weeks. He frequently disappears when the weather gets cold like it has been (20s), then returns when it warms up. But, he's a cat.

If I had a child that was missing for more than 10 minutes (and me searching the whole time), I'd hit 911 without hesitation.

Now, put on yer tinfoil hats, because this is the exact situation that will serve as the nudge to convince people that you need to have your kids tagged with a GPS implant. It's going to go beyond the "what if your child went missing" to "required by law enforcement to prevent a parent from killing and burying their child while they cook up some story of a psycho nanny".

Not in any way saying you are a bad person, but if you are quick to convict based on anything but the facts as presented in a court of law - not what you "think" happened, but what the state can "prove" - you should not serve on a jury.

That's why there's a jury selection process, for what its worth. Thanks to all the media surrounding this case there are people who have already convicted her in their own minds, and would love the opportunity to sit on the Jury to make sure she gets convicted, even if it means lying about being objective.

Speaking for myself, I could live with myself a lot easier if I found out that I had acquitted a guilty person based on circumstantial evidence than I could if I had sent an innocent person to jail based on that same evidence. I want the scumbags to go away as much as anyone, but not at the expense of ANY innocent people.

Yes - I'm saying that I could live with myself perfectly fine in that scenario. Had the state done it's job and provided better evidence, it could have been avioded, and remember - bad things happen to good people all the time.
What is served by convicting an innocent person - except that the prosecutor gets a feather in his cap and the guilty party escapes justice.
There is NEVER a situation where it is acceptable for an innocent person to be sent to prison - NEVER, PERIOD.
