  • New Lamb of God song "Contractor"

Lamb of God released a new song called Contractor off their new album Wrath via RoadRunner Records. The RoadRunner link went dead so here's a rapidshare link: http://rs404.rapidshare.com/files/17...lthemusica.rar

and for you lazy motherfuckers here's a YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZvBFI-w2Bs

Personally, I am a die hard Lamb of God fan and I thought they went a bit soft with Sacrament... but this album kicks ass from what I've heard! I've heard 3 songs and have to say it's great to see them back being heavy again (even though they never really went soft). Randy's vocals are on fire

Yeah, I thought Sacrament was way over produced. I loved Machine's work on Ashes of the Wake, but thought he went too far on Sacrament. Is the new stuff with Machine or have they gone to another producer?

Produced, engineered and mixed by Josh Wilbur. I just picked this CD up last night, and it's kicking my ass!!!

I bought the "mid grade" version of the album. I'm not a huge fan of their past material but I thought I would check this one out. So far I'm liking it. The cool thing is the version I got had an extra disc containing unmixed versions of the songs so you can remix them. Kind of a cool thing to do to make your own backing tracks, or isolate parts to learn, etc.

I think it's a really great idea too because it shuts people up who complain that they love the songs but hate the mix hehe.

That's also the version I got. I wish they would have totally split up Mark and Willie's guitar parts instead of having them together, though.

Yeah it would have been nice to have dry vocals too but I have a feeling they might be a little too 'exposing' hehe.

I dug 'em before they were poplular right when NAG came out. Randy Blythe can be a bit grating at times. But the music/riffs is pretty killer. To me intially they are a hybrid of Slayer/At The Gates. Since, they cultivated their own style and have some cool riffs/grooves..which is what I connect with.

                    Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

man, I wish they had that one here. I got the special edition with the couple of extra tracks. If they'd had a two disc edition, I would've got it
