Hell yea, whoopings were a weekly event at my house and I deserved every damn whooping I got.
LOL My brother and I got the leather belt from dad or the wooden spoon from mom. After the spoons being broken on our asses, we'd just laugh at mom and she'd give up after awhile.
I'm only 36 and feel old! :ROTF:
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
Remember thinking how dumb your parents were? Hell, they knew shit before I even thought of it!
Why is it that when we got to be closer to 30, our parents seemed to get so much smarter?
If I had listened to them only 10% of the time I could have saved myself SO much grief!
To me, this is indeed proof that the man above has a sense of humor.
You sir, can go you fuck yourself and don't let the door hit you in the vagina on the way out. You're such a pretencious, phony, boring, transparent, self righteous worthless fuck..You are amusing as a genital wart! --horns666 - 12/08/08

Our parents didn't have remotes..they had us kids. And yes, we got off our asses and changed the channel everytime they got bored with what was on. We didn't call it exercise back then, but that's just what it was.
You went out and played ALL DAY. Long as you were home by dark no one WORRIED.
Act up in school. Teacher gave you a whoopin, got another one when you got home for actin up.
The Smothers Brothers - a show that was light years ahead of its time.
Yes, my parents were avid watchers.
I may be wrong (usually am) but didn't Carlin and Pryor both get their start from the Smother Brothers? Well maybe not a start, but appearing on their TV show really helped their very early somewhat unknown careers?

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yep, I was a channel changer too.
We had black and white televisions for the longest time and I recall when we got a color Television. It was a big deal that the whole family went together and shopped for it. When it was delivered and ready to watch the next several days the whole family watched TV together. Pretty much after a couple of weeks the newness wore off and wasn't a big deal anymore.
