      • yes mark....it's porter waggoner. as if he were a dude who drove wagons for a living. or something like that.

here's the jcf stuff i miss:

        - greg crowe fighting with mike charvel whenever he'd come on here
        - greg and bret (slo100) tearing fake charvel ebay ads to shred
        - cheering tracy on in charvel ebay auctions
        - boxcar willie's friday question
        - posts that ended with "this is blacklabel."
        - yogadork's "back in the day" stories
        - the jcf yce series (before it became drama filled)
        - jeremy telling me that it was a busy day on the jcf because it had 85 posts.

most of that is from a time when we had 300 members.

Sorry bro, didn't mean to mis-spell Porter's name. I know you love him.

Man, seriously though, those bring back some serious memories!
Wasn't Bret's original screen name bret8388, or something like that? Or was that a different Bret? Shit it's been too long. I'm thinking about the guy that raised the Gila Monsters.

              • Yep, I remember now. Bret, and Brett. Like I said, it's been awhile.
Long story, but I closed down the shop a couple of months ago. Guitar work is in the future but no more cars. A lot going on around here.

Hi, uh, ~K~ I am great, I'm still here in OC, workin' and getting fatter heh. Went on a couple road trips in my Lexus which I really enjoy. My band hasn't been too active so I haven't been playing my guitars much. I picked up a guitar for heartfielder recently so he kicked my butt a little to get back on here. I may get Jackson-active again: I'm gonna get a Kevin Bonds Rhoads to add to my RR collection and I'm gonna try to look for a matching 5150 cab for my, uh 5150 head.

Stray, yeah, it's in, didn't seem to make much difference, although the tone knob is now hard to turn heh heh

Hey TM, thanks same to you bud.

But then I understand the relationship to gumbo.

The town where I reside has the dubious distinction of holding the "Okra Strut" as their annual festival. I hate the stuff, unless it's deep fried beyond recognition.
Okra is awesome in gumbo! Guess y'all don't know how to make gumbo up there, seeing as how y'all are almost Yankees....
                          Ron is the MAN!!!!

Hell yeah, gumbo without okra is like a hamburger without beef.

You're right, they don't make good gumbo here, and I don't know how. I've had some great gumbo, but it was a guy I used to work with, he would bring it to work ad share it.
                                Great stuff!
