dudes...i been here a little while and remember all this stuff, how cool! Brett was an alright guy, i bought a few guitars from him over the years...it was always fun watching him hunt down what he was looking for or try to weasel stuff from other members...it was proof that sometimes money talks.

Al-Z was a HOOT...I HAVE COOL GUITARS YOU ALL SUCK, WHY R YOU MEAN 2 ME....

he always typed in caps and sounded like a tard - i also bought a guitar from him and man THAT was a wild ride!

Anyway, its cool seeing this post and thinking about this stuff...i remember almost all of it, very cool!

I seem to remember Chuck had some hard times, I believe someone hooked him up with some free equipment. And then shortly afterwards I guess he bought and was selling some equipment... Turned to a shit storm on him, and he blew out.

I liked Chuck a lot and kept up with him via email for a bit, but it's been a couple years now I think.

Yeah that was a bad deal. Chuck had health problems then he turned a guitar and it pissed someone here off who I won't mention at it got ugly. I liked chuck a lot but I really understood why it pissed people off at the same time.


You mentioned Word, he was a hell of a guitarists who had to be banned he was a kid and he got an RR-1 from Pete from Mortality and Pete allowed him to "pay him off" over time but Word never came up with payments (he was like 16 at the time) and well he basically stole from a member and he had to be banned.

Chuck was a genuine dude and just made a poor decision at a bad time, imo. It was right around the same time we took up for the Dime Fund and a lot of people gave what they couldn't afford, but for the cause, same as Chuck's deal.

I'm an old timer too - but I dont post much.
BroFF lives about an hour from me. Havent spoken to him in awhile. He sold off most of his Jackson collection and got himself some really cool old Marshalls.

Going really well all considered in this economic climate. Health is good life is good just damn busy lately. Good to see you back here. You should get up this way again someday and Jeremy you and I can grab some dinner.

I'm not an old timer but have been around for a few years... I sold off all my Jacksons at one point and grabbed a PRS plus a couple basses and have been playing bass mainly for the last year and change. Now I grabbed one of the new Charvel So-Cals.. and decided I should pop back over here. Glad to see a bunch of you guys are still around and kickin', this was always a cool board in my book.

i (a.k.a. dk2magic) don't visit very much anymore... but i still lurk and read the amps and effects section. i have sold off my dk2's and went to a PRS as well. it's nice to see old names surface again that have some great advice of gear and guitars. i gained so much knowledge from the "old timers".
