The police bought a tank? A little overkill perhaps?
Here's an small piece from an editorial in the AJC paper.
You discussed image a few weeks ago - what image is Victor Hill portraying of this county by saying he needs a military tank to clean up the streets? No dealer is going to be scared of that, all he did is make this county look worse.
Unfortunately I was unable to find a picture of the tank, and this story focuses on his re-election bid. Which he lost, interesting read about many things not to do. He is now filing bankruptcy on account of many of his illegal activities and lawsuits against him(such as false imprisonment, and on his first day as sheriff firing all the white deputies(which lead to the county paying out 7 million in lawsuits)). Can't finnish these ramblings without also stating his last weeks in office he spent in Las Vegas with a county credit card(investigation pending).
I'm glad I live a good 2.5 miles from that mixed up county !!!
EDIT; Maybe he should've just bought some of those cool dogs !!!

Not sure we need tanks... But, a few local agencies have APV's with turrets on them here that sit on scenes for drug house entries, warrants on serious psychos w/history, active shooters etc etc...
They make short work of things. Sane people chill and surrender immediately when confronted with that out front. And, if an active shooter decides to get stupid, the turret can potentially open up on them and then the APV can be used possibly even make a new doorway if that is angle accessible.
They have one here with some contraption on it that is like a second floor battering ram that has stairs. Knocks a hole in an upstairs wall/window and the cops walk right in.
Silly to stand outside a house hiding behond cars when someone is barricaded inside. I think they take a little bit of the danger out of the situation.

No, rubbish. I've seen Terminator and Die Hard. You can go inside a building and strafe a street full of police cars with a massive fuck-off machine gun, they will blow up in slow motion, giving the policemen hiding behind them time to leap out of the way. It's all to do with the design of police cars, apparently, they are "Slo-blo", can't get less dangerous than that.
Or something.
Actually, my brother has a couple of AFVs. Wanna see? (New thread!!)
That dog is excellent. My dog Winnit (named after the dangleberries she gets) would leap like that if you dared to have a KitKat and not share it with her.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!
I also think its a training video because of the jacket and the fact that he fired a couple shots....you do that in real life and you find your chest filled with 40 rounds pretty quick. Nothing trips a cops kill or be killed switch faster that a perp flashing a weapon, let alone firing on the police
