well you guys actually play at stores. I usually hit the A chord for 30 minutes and try to figure out how to get a juicy tone

At GC I like to pick up a guitar plug it in (try to sit close to a wanker) hit a couple sweet power chords then go into a Judas Priest type chord pattern.
Then adj the amp tweaking for some tone then do some mellow Whitesnake stuff.
Then pop off at the end with "Alone Again" as close to Lynch as I can get.
The wankers stop and look at the "OLD FART"playing the cheapest Jackson hanging on the wall and usually getting some great tone too.
      The looks are priceless.
Whats really funny is to do this when teen two wankers are dissing Jackson guitars calling them cheap ass tone turds.
My neighbors kid went with me one time he's 15 and can play damn good, his only comments was "Hell crank it up till the windows break".He's a good kid its a shame I didn't have any sons.
Vass has a very good point I get some sweet deals on used stuff

Some good people there, they just never have what I want. My favorite places locally are Lifesong Music and Drums Etc. Manor Music is also a nice place Spiv and I think he may do a trade, but I know he has been trying to move stock so I don't know how that will go. I know Lancaster Musical Instrument Repair will do the install; I believe Jim does all their guitar work if he is still there.
Yeah we went to Manor afterwards but they were closed. It seems like every time I go there they're closed

        Where is Lifesong Music?

Quarryville, where Bledsoe's Hardware used to be in case it doesn't come up on a GPS or Map search. I think they would do an install, but not trade. To my knowledge, they also only sell Fender pickups. Worth a call though to see if they will install them. Manors hours are something like 12 noon to 8pm Mon - Wed, Closed Thursday, 5-8 on Friday, and something like 12-6 on Saturday.

FWIW, I also often tuck anyway in a corner. One of the reasons though I rarely play anything is I actually measure the string height and neck relief on my guitars to a certain spec, so anything else takes some getting used to. I also never bother using a set amp because I've never seen another Crate Vintage Club 6112.
