the Coke which is sold in US is 10x better than the Coke sold here.
Then the package is important.
The best coke is in a glass bottle, then plastic, and then metal can. Metal and Coke have the most chemical reactions with each other, that's why the taste isn't so good.

I don't drink soda much at all anymore, but the only Coke I like is made with sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup. If you can find Kosher Coke or even Mexican Coke, that's the stuff. It makes a huge difference in the taste. As for sugar-free, I think Diet Pepsi tastes better & much more like the regular version than Diet Coke does, but I just skip both & drink water.Comment

A good friend of mine manages and operates a Coke distributing plant. He says that when a Diet Coke or any Coke for that matter tastes like or smells like aluminum, the drink is out of date. Yep, canned drinks do go south over time. When buying cases of Cokes, look at the end of the box near the bar code.
