  • Biggest XD card for Juji camera?

Is there any XD cards for Fuji which are bigger than 2GB? And where can I get them if they exist?

Right now I have a 512MB in my little digital camera (9 megapixel E900). It makes great pictures and fits into my pocket. But I've been filming with it too lately, I recorded my friends performance and last night a couple of clips of Richie Kotzen's concert. The quality is really amazing, the picture and sound is clear, even when the concert is really loud there's no clipping and distortion. Better quality than 99% of homemade concert footages on youtube in my opinion.
With 512MB card I can film about 7 and a half minutes with the high quality setting, with lower quality it's about 15 minutes. Now I want to record whole concerts so I need the biggest card there is. I'd appreciate the help!

If your camera supports the "Type M" xD cards, then theoretically you can do up to 8GB. But the largest one currently made is 2GB.

If it doesn't support Type M, then 512MB is the max.

No one makes anything bigger than 2GB right now. It's just that the Type M specification allows for up to 8GB.

Or look into getting a camcorder with a built in hard drive. The JVC Everio models aren't bad, though they're a bit large for standard pants pockets. Jacket or cargo pants, maybe.

Hard drive size goes up to 60GB in them now, so that's tons of room, even on the high-quality setting.

I have one of those (Blue 30GB)... they suck ass in low light conditions.
Great video quality if you have good lighting.
The high end ones come with 120GB drives now. 60GB is standard.

We have a Canon FS10, it's small, does killer quality sound and video. Built in hard drive.

Yeah, they've been selling those cameras dirt cheap because of the memory card issue... I snatched a cool Fuji a year ago for nothing, and quickly figured out why. Takes nice pics tho for a cheapie.

Fuji and Canon make some of the best digi cams, though real killer ones are Sony, though they are way overpriced.

Canon are great makers of digi cam corders too. Canon were one of the first to pioneer proper decent lenses, so they know their stuff

Yep, no complaints on the last few Fuji's I've had. GREAT pics and the last one I got did awesome in low light. Just that card thing was a bummer on the klast one, I didn't really think of it till after I started looking for cards, haha...
