Anyone know where to go online to track data on how much demand there is for a given field or business?

There's a couple places- I assume you're looking TN? Or no?
Dept of Labor has an OK site- check it here http://www.careervoyages.gov/
Highlight the left nav for the area you're looking at & it'll break it down into smaller groups. Ignore the groups and click "in demand occupations". You can navigate there for a national ## including avg salary & the like, projected growth in the sector, & raw number of workers projected to be needed.
You can then hit "state report" and pick TN.
Is that what you meant? I don't really see a way to track a trend line beyond just the projected growth rate & the base ##, so it's not really much of a trend...the datapoints may be in there but I didn't see it
EDIT- TN has their own too, it looks like, but not as clean.

Thanks. I'll have to dig through those sites to find the specific data I'm looking for (without giving away my "idea", of course).I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
