Tommy, he can be funny at times. It's when he get's "preachy" that I want to punch him in the throat. He's a comedian who wants you to believe he's a fucking expert on everything he talks about, which are three things. Politics, religion, and da' bud.

Republicans don't like Bill Maher. He's like the anti-republican. He's pro gay rights, pro-choice, anti religion, pro weed, etc.. He pretty much is everything republicans hate. This forum seems to be largely republican, so it's not really surprising that no one likes him.
        Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

I've definitely laughed at him before. But, he's gotten too outspoken in his views and I just don't like his views. I choose to tune him out.

Anytime an entertainer chooses a particular social or political stance, he obviously stands to lose the group that disagrees. Unless you're so untalented that this mode is what makes you interesting, I really don't see the point in doing that.

I must be a damaged republican, hahaha... I hate most liberal types and how they are, but I'm pro-choice, anti-religion, figure you should smoke it if ya want (just have issue with the sellers being a danger to Law enforcement), and there's so many gays that it would be generally be wrong to deny rights over that. Some things might need to be comprimised for them, but denying rights is wrong.

Nonetheless, I find I allign with republicans, and liberal democrats tend to absolutely irritate me.

How odd... Maybe I'm actually a libertarian?

It may have a tough time beating that other box office smash "Carwash" from the 70's.

Until this election I would say that I was primarily pro-republican, but with that being said I still think he's funny as hell on real time.

I loved the movie, but Maher has not done anything that has beat Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death. That is a tough one to beat...........

I just finished watching Religulous, nothing really new for me but it had some very funny moments, good entertainment, I enjoy taking a dump on religion.
