Is the Aussie dollar worth nothing? I just checked the prices of some other stuff, and everything is ludicrously expensive. $23.99 for a 6 pack of Labbatt Blue. That's insane.

$8.50 for a single bottle of Black Sheep Ale. Those are around $2.50 at the liquor store up the street.

Never had the Blue, but going by some of the other Belgian ales I've had, I bet it'd be worth it for a really special occasion. Just like a good wine or scotch.

Yup. About 11 dollars for a twelve pack. And Blue ain't all that great.
I can get Newcastle, Becks, Guinness for the same price.

But I prefer to make my own.
Comes out at about 7 dollars per twelve.
Cooper (Aussie) is a great beer mix, BTW.

the aussie dollar was around US 0.94 now its US 0.64
I think the price is also high cause it must be rare for the darwin stubby! and the Black Sheep Ale will be high probably cause of how it has to be imported.

we're paying around $30-40 for our domestic beer at the moment. With the current exchange rate, that would work out to around US$20-25. I hate paying more than a dollar per bottle. Although, you'll pay more than $5 per bottle if you were drinking at a bar.

yeah i don't know ANYONE in australia who drinks Fosters, and its the only brewery left here thats 100% Aussie owned!

in my state (victoria) the CUB brewery is the biggest seller with Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Carlton Cold, Carlton Dry etc.
