Is that the same thing as the "Carling's Black Label" popular in the late 60's and 70's?
Yes, it was horrible by the accounts of the adults I was around at the time.
To clear up a bit of confusion about Cooper-they joined the homebrew market by offering their recipes.
Not exactly the same as buying the product bottled.
Homebrewers each have their own refining methods.
It simply isn't possible for one to make the exact same beer at home, but they do offer a fine mix to work with.

I tried a couple of other beers last night. I had a bottle of Black Sheep Riggwelter and a bottle of Harviestoun Old Engine Oil. Both were unbelievably tasty.
