medical doctors along with culinarians and creative artists are the few ones who shouldn't take their profession as a business, ever!

That is dead on bro! I can't tell you the last time I was at a doc's office and didn't see a salesman of some sort, honestly.

Aside from people taking the drugs directly.... When they do tests on waterways and find traces of all sorts drugs there.

Hospitals pour drugs down the sewers when they're out dated. Pharmacies and people do too. People eliminate drugs through their urine. Not to mention that the manufacturers have to clean up their equipment and dispose of bad batches they make, and they make a lot of mistake I know someone that quit their job as a chemical engineer for a Ben Venue Laboratories as everytime a mistake was made on a run of their heart med stuff, it was a million dollar mistake. Way too much stress. etc.

The city water filtration systems are for bacteria etc, not to filter all these drugs out. We get to drink that soup of antidepressants, heart meds, viagra, antibiotics etc. You name it.

Let alone, all the drugs we get from our meat supply. Growth hormones, vaccines, antibiotics, etc etc...

Or the toxins we get from our vegetables. I won't begin to go into the foodstuff we get from say China that is irrigated with water from poisoned rivers near manufacturing areas. Mmmm.... Yum.

It would be almost impossible to not be affected by all this. Some people will be more hypersensitive than others...

Then of course, some people are just plain hardwired wrong from the factory...

I've always said it was in the water, joking, but you make a lot of sense John and undoubtedly true. Nice post.

I go to Lake of the Ozarks quite frequently and the people that have lived there for 10yrs or more, much less born and raised seem to have a certain way about them that's just not right. We always joke about them, generalizing of course, and say it must be in the water. I'm beginning to actually believe that more and more. The infamous Party Cove is the biggest cesspool of scum, disease and bacteria in one small cove it's unbelievable, maybe 40 acres or so (guessing on it's size) but it has more contaminants in that single area, than the entire lake combined overall and the lake is 96 miles long or more.

Yeah, I read a book about a lot of this stuff, and how people are getting hypersensitive to all sorts of stuff from this poisoning we are getting.

Even from the cow milk we drink. I mean reallly, when we were kids, did yo EVER hear of someone being lactose intolerant? I don't really remember that much. NOW, everyone is. Even eggs, if I don't get them from free range non drug/organic sources, and then try to eat them sunnyside up, I get ill. Lotsa crap going just there. If you look into the meat/poulrty/egg supply, and how it's all done and what they feedthem, you'd seriously consider going vegetarian.

Pretty funny, hearing "the Ozarks" has always made me think of some special pristine nice place to vacation at. Not sure where I got that.

this is all very true... I'm specially concerned what the companies put into the food. Normally I don't care what the food consists of... all that matters is if it's good or not.... I don't care if it has tons of sugar or tons of pork fat. I don't care what it is, I can eat all sorts of slimey bastars, animal testicles, insects etc. I know that this stuff doesn't kill you. Many countries have traditions of eating all kinds of weird stuff daily but it's all pure and fresh and the people live for a long time.
But all this processed food is just scary. And also the fact that many animals are feed with some weird chemical shit.
There have been made many tests on this. Some people who pretty much live on the processed microwave junk all the time were given decent food for a couple of weeks... you know free range meat, eggs and milk, pasta, local vegetables and fruits etc. but not expensive stuff... just affordable stuff which didn't contained any chemicals and unnatural processing methods.
The results were ridiculous. Those people had tons of more energy, did better in the school or work, were a lot more happier etc.
It's fucked up what so many companies do... gastronomy doesn't have any place for monkey business... why don't they just sell lousy cars or stereos.

You laugh about it, but that is a problem down there, or used to be! Brumley, a town 10 minutes from Osage Beach has A LOT of people that are just weird, deformed, psycho, it's like it's own little country there, small town, few hundred people I think, maybe a 500 at the most and I'd be willing to bet that half of the population are siblings . But man, I helped this gal in Brumley a number of years ago start up an ISP, secure her network, etc and she had the most warbled face I've ever seen. I never said anything to her about it, but asked others after the fact what was wrong with her and was told that her family was completely made up of inbreed's!

                    WTF?

John, "the Ozarks" are generally pristine, clean and quiet, it really is a great place to live and visit and I would recommend it to anyone. The nicer places of the Ozarks are around the Ark border, Table Rock, Bull Shoals, Tannycomo, etc. Obviously Branson and the surrounding areas, but you'll always have that place where everyone is from somewhere else, ya know? There aren't many "small town folks" anywhere it seems, and if there are, they're doing a hell of a job hiding! If you do ever get down there or plan to, let me know and I'll be glad to hook you up. Get you out on some "big" boats, show you the ropes. I've got some friends with some insane boats man, 50' cruisers lined with booz and plasma's, 42-50' cigarette boats, cats, etc.

Haha... Don't tempt me too much... You won't believe this, but I haven't been on an actual vacation since I was 16 and I'm 44. And those were sorta working vacations at my grandmothers in West Virginia.

I usually worked through my vacations as I needed the money, raising my son alone etc. But, everytime I've taken a vacation from work, there was always some major home or race car project I'd have to do. Let alone having the cash to burn or getting someone to watch the dogs.

Sad state I guess... I don't think much of it, but when I realize it, it's pretty much amazing "I'm" not one of the ones shooting things up! haha...

Why blame anything but the person responsible? Why take away the responsibility of your own actions? All the said problems are valid to some degree, but it takes a cocktail of all of them, and they might not have been the trigger that set him off. Genetics and upbringing plays a major roll too!

I'm not passing blame, people are responsible for their own actions. We're only discussing what may lead up to people wigging out and killing people and themselves. I'm 45 and the prescription drug use today was never heard of when I was growing up...we had aspirin and pepto in our medicine cabinets and that was it....
