    Been using McAfee Enterprise for years now.
    Uses only 35MB ram. That's it. And it works great too.
    I also run the usual adware and spyware tools as well.

    Norton IS a the definition of a virus.
    That program is a huge POS that eats more resources than any virus I've ever come across.
    And you can never uninstall all of it.
    You have to reformat and reinstall the OS to get rid of it.

    The emails you got are classic return path spoof.
    Not hard to do at all.
