"We're so happy we can hardly count"!

That song (Have a Cigar) was the foreshadow for the entire "The Wall" project.

Is that main four-note chord in WYWH not the most haunting chord ever? It's a shame that the Syd tragedy had to happen to inspire this album, but such is life.

          10-4!

Sometimes I think the two albums most trashed by PF fans at the time-WYWH and Animals, are my favorites.
Rick Wright was an absolute master with the keys and synth work.
OTOH, the predecessor album was Dark Side of the Moon.
Hard to top it, and no-they didn't.
But like Rush (my other favorite band) they evolved in a masterful way.

TDSOTM has a lot of fans. I was always more of a Wall guy. That was their darkest album (an understatement), which I can appreciate. I hear ya on Animals: Gilmour got medieval on those Dogs solos!

Darkside and Wish were favs till classic radio played them into the ground... The only one I can still really enjoy these days is Animals. I've lost my taste for the older stuff, UmmGumma, Meddle etc..

And the Wall is waaaayyy too depressing. Shoot myself music.

I recieved the Meddle CD for Christmas.
It had been so long since I heard it that I really enjoy it (sometimes).

I still like the Relics collection, a lot of the Barrett hits and some oddities on it.

The Wall-I love the Gilmour riffage on that set.
                He is a god.
