  • own a Acura TL?

I'm looking into buying a used 2005-2006 TL's and was curious what any owners have to say about the vehicle. Thanks

Fucking LOVE my 2007 TL Type S. Mine is Carbon Bronze Pearl. Only mod was to black out the windows with Limo tinting. Great technology too. Love the large screen NAV, wireless, handsfree stuff, etc.

I have a 1990 GTA and a 1970 Challenger so I love performance, and this car has it in spades. At the time I looked at a Lexus IS350 and the Infinity offerings. I have three kids (need back seat space) and was driving to Cleveland, so the RWD wasn't a hot idea at the time I was purchasing.

Car has great get-up-and-go. Growls nicely when I get on the gas.

Gets about 26-29mpg. For 286HP, this is pretty sweet. Compression ia 11-1, so I have to use premium, but that's like .20 more than regular? Big deal.

I've never driven the regular TLs.

    Great car.

    Nuff said.

Not sure if I like the new TL's. I think they ruined the styling.

I would definitely own one of these if a nice Maxima hadn't come my way first.

I know it may not be the insight you are looking for but FWIW I think they are great cars.

Greta, great automobile. It is in my cross hairs in the not too distant future.

Drove a TL S about a year ago from Thomasville, GA to Tampa, FL and that thing ran like a scolded duck. Sweet ride and very nicely equipment righ off the shute.

Couldn't agree more Rudy!!! I'd trade the V for the Challenger in a heart beat! I'd even throw in a couple of CS guitars!

I used to have a 67' Cuda (fastback) with a 340 sixpack that was a Freakin Beast!!! That thing would pull the wheels! I traded an old Crate amp for it and some cash, remember those wooden "crates"? It was my 2nd car I ever owned, I was 16ish. I'd kill to have that car again...

Why not save money and just get a Honda?

                          Because it's better.
                          Because it's faster.
                          Because it handles better.
Did I say because it's better?

why not buy a volkswagon instead of a porche?

I like performance cars. I like Honda quality. That's why I got an Acura TL.

Why not save money by avoiding Honda? Sorry, I like V8, rear wheel drive Pat, you should have kept the 67 Cuda. One of my cars is a 72 Challenger which I've had since 1982. I built a 340 for it but what it really needs is a 426 Hemi from Mopar Performance or perhaps even their stroker version of it

It turns out that one of the listings on craigslist in my area was looking like a scam. Oh well, the search for a decent car continues. You know I was toying with the idea of getting the General Lee, how bad ass would that be? There was a reasonably priced on the bay not too long ago.
