Tommy, I've watched the Blue Jackets every year as they're on my Fox alternate local channel, and it's very cool to see how they've progressed. The fans there really seem to back them come hell or high water, which I think is cool too. I'll be watching closely to see if Umberger really breaks out next year. I for one think he will. Nash is just a stud on the ice. They're just a cool team to watch. I still wish they had Jody Shelley. That dude wouldn't back down from anyone.

I am still perplexed my good man on why I picked them to root for-lol
Being a Ranger fan has taken its toll on me, and this is the first time I'm adopting another team in my life. i think I jumped on because i really didn't think they'd be in the thick of it at all at first, and now they're really playing well. It's almost safe to say they're in for sure. That's cool you get them on the alternate local channel. And yes their fans are definitely good ones, I agree.
You gotta be happy with the Guins. Who do you think they match up best against of the top 4 teams? Boston, N.J., Caps or Flyers?
being that it looks like it will be a 4-5 matchup with the Flyers most likely, that should be a gruesome series. I think the last team you'd want to play in the first is the caps.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

I'd like to see St. Louis win over CBJ today and eventually make the playoffs..it would be kinda funny to see all five teams form the central make the playoffs

I'm sorry to the Crosby fans but if your getting 96 points an only a +7 your defensive game ain't all that

Zack Parise is having a helluva season and is sound defensively +30, Pavel is +34.
                    .
Well, cmon shawn... to be fair about +/-, pavel has 2 norris trophy winning defensemen on the blue line backing him up, and sid has.... Hal Gill?
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Well, I look forward to a Pens - Flyers series. They're always so intense, and fun to watch as a fan.

The Pens aren't the team now that they were a couple of months ago. For the first time in his career Sidney has linemates that should actually be on his line, which just helps open up the ice for the second and third lines. The fourth line isn't as mucking and grinding as I'd like mainly because they're slower than molassass in January, but the Pens have had much worse in the past.

I agree that the Caps are the sleeper team in the East. They come with a ton of speed and skill, but can play physical with the best of them. The Caps have really had the Pens number this season, but I do think that the Caps goaltending is suspect in the postseason. I'd love to see Boston knocked out in the first round, and I'm going to predict the Devils take the East.

Who takes the West? I'll take the Red Wings.

I have to go with Los Wingos des Reddos. When they have had to really play , they've pretty much manhandled the Sharks, at least at home. Won 6-0, and 4-1.
Home ice will be a biggie though, the Sharks are tough at home.

I don't know Tommy...are you and your lazyboy free from April to June to play net for the Wings? Chris Osgood is now Chris Wasgood. Ty Conklin is a career backup and no telling how he'll be able to perform in the playoffs if they give Osgood the pines.

Unless Detroit can get it together defensively and quit making mistakes that their netminders can't bail them out off...they could be looking at some early spring T times.

I'm starting to think the brilliance of Mike BabCOCK is now coaching the San Jose Sharks
