Florida got robbed if you ask me. Carter's 45th came when I thought they were gonna blow the whistle on philly.

But Carter got robbed though on that scrum when McCabe slashed him and broke his stick, costing Philly a goal earlier. What goes around comes around. I'm a little disappointed in Carter though; he was on track for about 50-52 last month, but now, unless his hair catches on fire every time he steps on the ice, it won't happen. At least he tries.

Lupul on the other hand bothers me a bit as he should be near 30 but I sometimes things the effort is not quite there, but on the other hand, for the money they are paying him it's tolerable for sure. He's gonna fumble his claim though to the first line to Giroux at this rate, though I think Claude Giroux is the real deal. The hands on this guy are among the top 5 in the NHL. Once he gets a little more experience under his belt, he is gonna be one of the top players in the league. Then the Flyers still have vansRymsdiek in the wings. Not to mention guys like Ross and Laliberte in the minors, really, the best is yet to come for them, and since they are still ahead of schedule in terms of performance, I'll be happy if they repeat what they did last year, though really think if they can put ti all together and get hot like they did the middle of the year, they can March right to Joe Lewis Arena

Just went and picked up my tix for the home closer. If I only go to two games a year, it's the home opener and closer. Luckily, there will be a second season this year.

always worried with the Rangers

I'm making no prognostications until the fields are set in stone.

In the East, the Panthers still have a chance. Sure, they have to win their remaining two games and the Rangers have to drop both games. I'm not sure that at this point Buffalo has a chance.

In the West, Nashville is two points behind St. Louis. So the Blues have to make sure that they win both games in the event the Predleys win both of their games. Then just to complicate things even more, the Wild are only 3 points behind. So if the Blues blow their last two games and the Predleys split their last two, the Wild have to win both of their games and they're in.

Still a lot of incantations, chanting, dancing, ritualistic chicken sacrifices, and whatnot to do before the field is set.
