yep Tommy...Kenny Holland is trying to resign both Hossa or Franzen long-term before the playoffs start. He 's closer with Franzen so they have until Monday to get a deal then all talks are off until after the playoffs. Franzen is getting 1.15 right now and will get a nice raise. Both players are willing to leave money on the table to stay in Detroit. Cap wise if they do end up getting both Hoss and The Mule they have to cut heads for next season. Hossa will get 6-7 mil and Franzen 3-4 mil...both could get a lot more than that on the open market..the Wings will look different next year no doubt..

Congratulations Pat. The Blues took care of business. I was watching a game the other day and they said that Detroit and St' Louii have the highest winning percentage since the new year began. That was one helluva of a turnaround for the Blues, they were down and out but played great hockey for a 3 months and made the playoffs.

Thanx bro! I was starting to feel like a Hawks/Cubs fan there for a while! Getting scary... I watched last night and the first period, the kids looked like the Wings of old, I mean they were dead on, passing like the old Europeans and just in synch across the board (or ice, ) It was a good game, a lot of energy here in St Louis!

Something I didn't know, last home game last night here and the normal fan appreciation, but the entire Blues team, scratches and all, peeled their sweaters off and gave them to the fans! How fk'n cool is that? I mean really, you got little Johnny goin to the game with pops and walks out with a Mason gamer jersey? That rocks!

We'll prolly end up playin you guys and you know I'll be down with some shit talkin, but you guys own the fk'n Blues bro! But if the Blues keep paying like they have been, who knows how far they can go! They were 24-8-7 I think in the last half, that' pretty amazing for any team in any sport really. I'm stoked and ready for the post!

Did not know that Tommy, I think it's cool as hell! As I said previously, I haven't been as big of fan of the NHL as I have in years gone by, but getting back into it and with the Blues making the post season, it's like a shot in the arm. Diggin it bro and so are the kids as well.

Well, I'm glad the Pens finished the season with a win. Pretty cool seeing two shorthanded goals by the Pens while killing the same power play. I don't recall ever seeing the Pens do that since I started following them in 1995. Malkin gets the scoring title, and IMHO does deserve the MVP for his leadership both defensively and offensively while Crosby was down and out again this year.

Looking forward to the turnpike series. This will be a good one. No doubt in my mind that it will go to seven games.

Ranger's didn't win... Martin Biron lost it. At this rate, the Flyers are going to struggle past the first round. I think they need to kick party boy Lupul to the curb this off season; he's one of the most inconsistent on the team besides Biron and I think he's part of the source of this laid back attitude that has swept over them. Same issues he had in Anaheim.
