Wrong...grit players play between the whistles and man up face to face. Hatnell loves to come at players from behind, and frequently after the whistle or as the second man in. He's a spineless pussy cheapshot artist...a disgrace to true grit players.

The Flyers missed on a few scoring opportunities (then again, so did the Pens), but they got outplayed in every facet of the game. The Pens played a "grittier" brand of hockey last night by crashing the net and dumping the puck instead of getting too fancy. It served them well. Flyers will ned to contain Staal better or hes going to break out in a big way.

Stupid penalties and a lot of em! The refs could have had let em play a bit more, but I guess once they set a tone, they have to play it the rest of the night, oh well. They did great on the kill and not too bad on the pp.
Nuks' outforechecked the Blues like no tomorrow and that was the difference imo, if that doesn't change, we're done. I think we played pretty well tho overall.

The 2 goals they did get, Mason didn't have a chance and we really never tested Luongo.

I think Friday's a different game, hopefully anyway!

LMAO, Pens fans whine even when they win. Not to mention that Matt Cooke is no angel. His attempted knee to knee on Lupul was stupid and cheap. You can list something dumb/cheap for that guy for every dumb thing Hartnell does. Except Hartnell has 30 goals. SUCH A DUMB GOON THAT HARTNELL AND THOSE FLYERS DAMN. They have 6 (Count 'em!) 25 goal scorers, Carter and Richards combine for more goals than Crybaby and Malkin (which I actually like Malkin). And they are just a bunch of goons. Don't worry guys, the NHL is gonna go to no-contact soon for you, so the hockey games should be great now.

And FWIW, The entire team sucked until the third. No effort. Hey guys, the puck is magnetically attracted to your stick! The Carle/Coburn pairing has poisoned Coburn's good defensive ability with Matt Carles stupidity. Biron played like a smacked ass. I hope they start Nitty next game; at least he is hungry for a job, whereas Biron won't even need to worry about a contract offer next year as he will get run out of town on a rail. You could go to any hockey rink in the US and find a goalie to stop that second and third goal, christ. He obviously has shown what he really is as a goaltender, not to mention he has DIRECTLY cost the Flyers home ice thanks to that BONEHEAD play he made during the fifth game against the Penguins that year; remember the Flyers would have needed 1 point for home ice, and that game was going to OT. So yeah, Biron is an idiot. He'll win you around 10-12 games a year, keep you in about 25-30, and lose the rest.

Next, that dumbass Randy Jones is gonna sit for Luca Sbisa who actually knows how to play D. Jared Ross did not look like a guy who had 69 points in 62 games in the AHL. For what little Nodl did, this guy is finding a way to do less. Cote's loss was huge, and Dan Carcillo isn't doing much to fill that energy player void. Sure you have Asham, but he doesn't have the brute strength to match up with some of these other players.

Oh hell, after that effort, can we just make a clutch call up of the entire Phantoms?

I've been thinking about going to Game 3 (WOULD have gone to Game 5 if the Flyers had gotten home ice and scene the Phillies play a day game and then the Flyers are night like my dad and I did last year) but if that team repeats that kind of effort, screw that.

EDIT: Oh christ, what bone head thing did Carcillo do after I flipped it off with about 2 go? He is like Steve Downie but with a 100% probability of scoring a goal.

Nothing wrong with hitting between the whistles...Hartnell is spineless about it and sneaks up from behind after the play or once a player is already engaged with someone else. Classic pussy tactics. I hope the Pens let Goddard spank his ass again There's a big difference between tough and dirty...Hatnell is the latter. No whining here, I simply hate the way the guy plays hockey...much the same as how I hate Avery's game.

Carcillo didn't really do anything other than try to stir things up after the game was out of reach. He's most likely in trouble based on the announcement that the NHL made to the playoff teams that they will not tolerate anyone trying to "send a message". If he did anything more than that, I didn't see it.

I predict things will heat up tomorrow.
