sound card such as the X-Fi?

I can't get playback. I have the ASIO driver selected and keep getting dropout. Just wonder what your settings are and if you are using ASIO or MME32 which doesn't dropout but I have no sound.

You may have to select the same audio output driver in your Creative Audio HQ Control Panel applet as well as in Cakewalk.

You may have to change the creative card from "Game mode" to "Music Mode".

Check the Cakewalk forums, they are a great source of info.

I got this from the Home Studio Support section FAQ
