  • Sirius Satellite can suck it

We can't listen to "liquid metal" for a month while they play Metallica over and over and over and over....WTF are they thinking? Shouldn't someone had said," hey, maybe a month is a litlle much, how about a weekend" And when I switched over to octane they played some more metallica....Fuck them!

If you bought the stock for .05 in Feb you would have made 7x your money

I hate those marathon runs as well. Didn't they have an AC/DC one a while back?

I didnt renew my sub because of the play lists(way to much repitition of songs and artists) and the channels that had a DJ that loved to talk over the songs. That may sound trivial, but I hate regular radio for that reason.

            +1

Regular radio is free; damned if I'll pay to have some jackass talk over music.

XM is owned by Sirus now. If you have one, you have the other. It's all the same. I loved my XM. Then sirus came along and we had to wait two months for them to finish playing out AC/DC so they'd bring the Boneyard back and, now it's an ok channel, I can stand to listen to it. But it's really just a shell of the former Boneyard.

I mainly just stay on the Comedy channels now when I'm not listening to CDs.

XM blew it with me. I had XM in my new Acura with the first three months free. After about a month it quit working. I called them up and they could never re-activate my system.

                  Fuck them.

XM and Sirius are the same company, so you'll get the same stations regardless of who you buy the service from.

My dad has XM so he can listen to baseball games. He seems happy with it.

I would never pay someone to listen to Howard Stern. He's a 12 year-old in a man's body.

Has anyone sent/called Sirius to complain about the programming? Granted, it probably won't do much good, but if enough threats are made to cancel service, they've got to listen at some point.

Bill said it best on another thread. Basically: screw 'em all - there's plenty of ways to get the music you want to hear into your ears without paying some ass-suck "demographics" jerk to decide what you should hear.

Man, do I miss the old WNEW-FM in New York, when the DJs decided what to play, and actually listened to what their listeners had to say!

I agree with everything thats been said...However, because traditional (free) radio sucks so bad, (too much talking) I keep my Sirius/XM subscription...it's the less of two evils.

Stop your whining about Metallica being on for a month!!!! When the merger took place they removed Buzzsaw and played AC/DC for a whole damn month! I like AC/DC but not 24/7. Buzzsaw was the only station that I pretty much listen to. I travel a lot and use to stream it at the job sit. I agree with you that Sirius has gone down the shitter since the merger.. but I will never go back to regular/HDef radio with all the bullshit commercials. I know where you are coming from with the overkill of band. BTW that's what a rep told me when I asked why they removed Buzzsaw.. Needless to say I scored a few free months.

I remember when there weren't commercials on cable TV. That was the sell point... NOW look at it.

Sat rad will get that way eventually once it hits a certain saturation point where they feel safe.
