Man this is making me shed tears of happiness. Takes me right back to my teens when I was playing Reggae non-stop on my Gnarly record player buying records of Black Slate, Aswad and Third World in the thrift shop when everybody was getting rid of them in favor of CD's, and just rocking out.

And this song in a live version is just pure bliss.

Fuck I had spent like 20 minutes typing up a great response about that I also love reggae, but you're example is not really what I associate so much with reggae. Absent were the skanking guitar rhythms and IRIE attitude.

Third World was a talented band, but I agree w/ Jayster. They seemed more like an R&B act with reggae influences to me, not that there's anything wrong with that. That tune was written by Stevie Wonder, btw.
