Very impressed !!! I loved the way everyone wiped that sarcastic grin off their faces. You know, Simon's gonna push her career along. She should be recorded for sure, beautiful in many ways.

      Bravo lady !!!

Her story is getting "out" there- Apparently, there was an accident during her birth, and she was starved of oxygen for a period- Has a learning disability. Mercilessly mocked as a child. Mother needed constant care for years, died 2 years ago at 91. Susan used to sing at church, and her mom encouraged her to do so, but she hadn't gone to sing since her mom died.

She pulled the dress she wore out of the closet, she had bought it for her nephew's wedding a few years ago. No handlers, no stylist, just went.

You have to listen to the words of that song- As you see, it's "I Dreamed a Dream" from Le Mis- I don't think it was any accident that she chose that. Not that I think she believes her life is a "hell", but because she always thought it could be so much more than it is- I think we all think that sometimes, in the middle of the night, during the long dark teatime of the soul

Well, for good or for ill, her life's changed now. Really neat to be able to see it. I cannot stand reality TV, but I have to say, something like that might make years of trite garbage clogging up the TV worth it.

I might pay the long distance charges to England to vote for her.

Holy shit I'm getting soft as I get older.

Indeed. Instead we get force fed crap like Britney, Nickelback, etc.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

No need. I hate those programmes with a vengeance, but, on this one occasion, I'll break the vow never to be sad enough to spend my hard-earned cash lining a TV Company's pockets, and I'll vote for her on your behalf, it'll be my pleasure.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

            I nearly broke her back

That was fantastic! What a great lesson in humility.

Thanks Rsmacker- Do appreciate it, truly. That whole "011-44" thing confuses me, provincial rube that I am.

Vass, your vote, I believe, would not have been counted. Even the South of Ireland can't vote, even though it's on the same feckin island as the Northern one!
