Mark Easton had a beautiful view of the mountains...

A city councilman in Utah , Mark Easton, had a beautiful view of the mountains
until a new neighbor purchased the lot below his house and built a new home.

The new home was 18 inches higher than the ordinances would allow, so Mark
Easton, mad about his lost view, went to the city to make sure the city enforced
the lower roof line ordinance. The new neighbor had to drop the roof line, at
great expense.

Recently, Mark Easton called the city again, and informed them that his new
neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his home. Mark didn't like the
look of these vents and asked the city to investigate. When they went to Mark's
home to see what the vents looked like, this is what they found:

I don't see the guy who complained about the building being over height can be thought of as the asshole here. The dude with the high roof fantasy obviously thought he was better than everyone else and above the law. I wouldn't care less about his 'vents'. They just show his personality.

Saw a similar thing happen with an historic building being knocked down in Adelaide to make way for a David Jones store. The neighbours (another historic building) did not like this but their way of getting back is a little more subtle. The outside of the structure has a metal leaf sculpture which if you follow the stem forms into another (ableit smaller) middle finger salute at the end. You have to look at it very carefully to see it though...

If I was Mr. city councilman, I would get an old microwave oven, break the door off, rig it to be on high when plugged in and point it out back by the fence. Turn it on and off randomly. See how mr middle finger likes that. No radio, tv or phone for you!!
