For those of you that dont live anywhere near the NY area, you might not have heard of this show. Its a musical on Broadway (47th st. actually) that features all the old 80's music and power ballads. Just got back from seeing it today and I just want to give it a big 2 thumbs up. The story is cheesy, 2 kids trying to make it big in 1980's LA but the music is great and the story is very entertaining. Its actually a very funny show that pokes fun of how cheesy the 80's were without putting it down too much. The narrator dude is hilarious and the performances are excellent, vocals, dancing. The house band kills! allthough I never saw a drummer. they play live the whole time and rock the house out. Im 44 and enjoyed it a lot but most of the songs are well known or guitar hero fodder. If you live in the area I highly recommend it. I saw plenty of people or students buying tickets at the door. It was a matinee. We were sitting next to an 89 year old woman. She said she liked it because it was full of energy. She must have been deaf by the end of the show.:ROTF:

89? She probably had her Beltone turned off
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Yeah, he was really good. Playing constantly, like 85% of the time. He had a black LP, a white one, and some sort of red quilted superstrat, maybe a suhr or Brian moore, that kind of odd headstock. He used that for the floyd stuff but oddly it didnt have a floyd unless it was one of the smaller original ones. Looked like a wilkinson or something compact like that. At the end he came out and really hammed it up for the crowd, playing with his teeth and such. Definately looked like a fun gig.
