          Ozzy.

Dio-era Sabbath only sounded like solo Dio if you heard Holy Diver before Heaven and Hell. I heard Heven and Hell first and thought it was a Sabbath cover-band - they had the music, but not the singer. I also thought at the time that Ozzy's guitarist sounded like crap - no discernable riffs, and not heavy enough, and wondered why he was playing violin runs on the guitar.
I dismissed Blizzard Of Ozz as crap, and predicted it wouldn't amount to anything

+1 to what Zeegler posted earlier.
I'm just being lazy or I would've clicked "quote" his post.

Later gang, I'm off to watch the rental movie "Taken."
Heard it was good and I'm bout to find out.

"Sing me a song your a singer."
Got to admit it Dio's vocals on that tune and album were stellar, great stuff.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

"Anyone who tries to fling crap my way better have a really good crap flinger."

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

To me Sabbath is with Ozzy, but Dio is by far a better singer then Ozzy. I prefer Ozzy solo and Dio solo also, but besides that.. Ozzy/Iommi = Sabbath..

                      this is silly. O Z Z Y by a mile.

Dio's great, and the others did some good stuff too, but shit, Sabbath is Ozzy/Tony/Geezer/BWard, this should be taught in kindergarten.

Dio is the better singer and performer.
Ozzy is a drugaddled mess, but is Sabbath.

I'd rather see Dio live though. Ozzy's performances are better in the studio.
Also, better when Randy or Jake were playing behind him.

Although, a Randy/Dio matchup would have been epic.

For the classic Sabbath that made metal great, Ozzy is impossible to replace. No one could sing those songs like he did, not even he has for so many years.

Dio is great at the material he did with them, and can still tear that shit up live. But the legend was built with Ozzy, not Dio, great as he is.

I think Bill summed it up very well, so my 2 cents are very derivative, but there you go. Most of my energy goes into loving my woman nowadays, which is more than awesome, thank you very much!
                              Ron is the MAN!!!!

I prefer the Dio Sabbath. It holds many fuzzy memories for me.
