Pfffft, do you think he's going to click that link? :ROTF:
Wilksy-baby, sugarlump, sweetie - go and dowload "Hijack This" (there'll be links on one of the following sites) then go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ or http://forums.techguy.org/ and get some advice there. Both sites are populated by speccy twats who have never kissed a real girl and who wank over Lara Croft, but they sure know their shit when it comes to computers. Someone there will be able to sort out your problem.
(Not that problem, I mean the PC one. I've told you how to get over the other one - deep breaths and thinking about fishing)So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!
I nearly broke her back

Wilkinsi,
Does your PC see the sound card if you go into your hardware manager?
Does your MoBo also have onboard audio? If so, is there sound coming from it?
When you formatted your hard drive, did you re-install all the Mobo Drivers and Utilities...especially the drivers for the PCI slots?
Have you tried putting the card in a different slot?" I do not pay women for sex. I pay for them to leave after the sex ". -Wise words of Charlie Sheen

Audio card is on board the motherboard. I uninstalled NVIDIA, it picked it up during installation, but then failed at the end with the same RUNDLL - error loading streamci etc etc message.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

If you know exactly which .dll file is missing/corrupted, you can try to download the .dll from http://www.dll-files.com/ If you are unsure or it is not specific about the .dll, you can go to this site and use the .dll repair tool http://www.dllnerd.com/1/?k=Repair-D...FRufnAodaWj53Q .
It is possible that said virus may have destroyed the onboard audio....which I doubt due to the errors you are receiving. Either way, you can buy add on soundcard to install for a reasonable amount, usually around $20-30 in US dollars." I do not pay women for sex. Resolved
I did find that streamci.dll and copied it into both system and system32 folders, but it threw a fit at me. After a lot of unin- and rein- stalling, and help from a couple Windows XP discs (my father has a folder of "holy grail" CD's) that sorted it. Seems this is all trial and error, not some set instruction.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal
