My best friend of the last 10 years died last night of a heart attack around 10:30pm. My wifes calles me downstairs and she wouldnt get up and was breathing real hard. Her tongue was hanging out side ways and her gums were getting blue, she was pretty much unresponsive. We were all with her and able to say good-bye, tell we lover her while she faded away before we could get her to the vet.
We got her when she was about 1.5 years old, she wasn't treated well by her asshole owners who named her and was so timid she would pee at the my voice if was too loud. She was a black lab and was affraid of water. The owner had coy ponds and probably abused her when she was a puppy with water for trying o get the fish or something. She warmed up and was the best dog anyone could ever ask for. Loyal, protective, great friend to the family, awesome to our kids (who are now equally devestated as I am, they grew up with her). I thank God for the time we got to spend with her, we were so lucky to blessed with her companionship and unconditional love we had for each other.
RIP Gucci, I miss you so much alreday. I hope your eating all the Beggin's treats up there in dog heaven!!
