This has always pissed me off... Dont people work?? Tuesday concert
maybe someone you really want to see...so you bite the bullet, and
buy tickets...
Get there at 7:15 for an 8PM concert..(im already tired, from getting
up at 3:30 AM)
Opening act...starts at 8:25 done at 9:20
Huge..long break, so we can drink! 40 min!
So now its 10:15 or so... and
the 2nd opening act starts... Their done at 11:45 ...and IM DONE!
Another 25 min gap...

Then out comes Ronnie Montrose or some like headliner...
They give the crowd their moneys worth! But now its 2AM...and i
have to be at work in 2 hours!
Thats what i love about DVD concerts... sit around in your underware...
(anyone need a vid? LOL) and watch it over and over in the afternoon
with no idiots crammed up against you... :-(( Yes im old

And Robert - that just about happened to me tonight...I'm geared up for MSG and Doppler, checked the ad one last time this morning, lo and behold - 2 bands added at the last second. Instead of cutting out and being home by midnight, I would be out until 2 am...and I have to be up at 6am for work...

Not going now, bummer...just can't justify it...

Could be worse. Here's how my dream gig went down. It was supposed to be my band, Strapping Young Lads, then Testament(yep THAT Testament). We played our set.Strapping Young Lads played one song.The singer got in an argument with a guy in the crowd. He jumped in the crowd and started brawling. Lights come on. Cops show up. Everybody go home.
Well at least Chuck smoked a J with us on the Bus.
