And tonight the Mets won. I have no use for the Yankees or the
american league in general. I cant get too excited about baseball in general until the end of the season and playoffs.

The Rockies have been on a roll ever since they fired Clint Hurdle. LA is too strong for them to catch up, but at least it is exciting to watch a game now. Jason Marquis has been pitching good too.

The ball is travelling out of Yankee stadium at a faster rate than it used to out of Coor's field, which was the original "Launching Pad"-lol

Well, when you take the arch out of the right field wall (almost 10 feet shallower in one spot) and lower the wall by 2 feet, these things are bound to happen.

It's bullshit Shawn. The Yankees have 3 at home vs. The "Nots", and then they go on the road to Fla., Atl., and then Ponzi Park, aka Madoff Gardens, aka Citi Field, or citi Park, whatever they call that place the Mets play in.
That means 9 games in a row without a DH. No other team from the American League has to do that.
i used to be a purist, and was against the wild card, but grew to like the idea. Now I feel the first series should be a 4 out of 7 instead of a 3 out of 5.
But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how the national League just doesn't come along and institute a DH. It's 2009 ya know? Who wants to spend all that money to go to a game, or pay 210.00 for the baseball package and want to watch the pitchers bat? I don't.
My point is , this could be a rough stretch for the yankees even though they're not playing tough teams, taking out a component that your lineup and team is based around for 9 straight games is bullshit.
                      And that's that.

I never liked interleague play and really there should only be one interleague series.....the World Series

It makes no sense to me that your team or a team behind you in the standings can gain ground by playing a team from the "other" league. Hey why not have a team from Dominican Republic come and play a few series, how about Japan comes here and plays some regular season games that count in the standing.

Was talking to a buddy of mine we both feel the only thing interleague play should do is be like the 2nd tie breaker to see who gets home field advantage for the World Series

Tommy, the season is still young. The Yanks will overtake the Sox, just a matter of time.

BTW, got some tickets and I'm heading down to the new stadium next month. Can't wait to see the new digs!

did you have to sell your house for the tickets?-lol
The Earl of Leicester can't even afford to go to a Yankee game.

Yeah, bro, I hear ya. Ticket prices are brutal now - even after they lowered some.

                              Got these "off market", though.

Eleanor of Aquitaine had to pass on her weekend package tix against even the lowly Nationals. If you don't know her, look her up on google, she was bucks up shred!!!!-lol
